Size:Inflow 12mm Tube Diameter: 12 mm Recommended for aquariums 20 gallons and larger. Glass Inflows are designed to transport the water from the aquarium to the external canister filter. This simple design glass pipe has suction slits. For use with a frame-less aquarium tank. Due to its slit form, it has the advantage of not suck in the withered leaves easily. but please make sure to remove the leaves stuck on the suction slits. These pipes are made of glass. This is transparency so it does NOT disturb the appearance of the aquarium and it is suitable for water plant layout because of good water current for it.

FUN WASTE OF MONEY
It gets dirty very quickly and therefore require the glass to be clean in order to spin. Spinning clears debris from the upper intake. Debris leads to clogging. Clogging led to flooding. And if you do not have a plan B you will end up with water on the floor.BTW to even spin you need to perfectly calibrate the bottom opening with your water level and therefore the upper opening by way of the floating spinning apparatus. And ITS A VERY FRAGILE ELEPHANT TRUNK!! NOT WORTH IT but fun waste of money.

Good pipe, probably best suited for less powerful filters
This is a nice glass intake, however it has turned my filter into a snail killing machine. I am using it with a UNS Delta 120 (200 gal/hr circulation rate) in a 55 gallon tank. I’ve never previously had a problem with my snails getting trapped on the outside of the intake pipe, but something about the design of this one coupled with the power of my filter is just too strong. My poor mystery snail got sucked onto it in the middle of the night and didn’t survive. Just wanted to warn others who may have invertebrate friends. Nothing wrong with the pipe, just didn’t work with my setup.

Little flaws compared to competitors
Beautiful piece of glass. Very tight snug fit (which i love) with my .50" id clear hose. Suction cups...toss them, they don't work. And the bottom of the tube is squared, which makes it harder to clean with a pipe cleaner compared to my previous glass intake that was round

Small fish beware. 2.8/5
The skimmer sucks in air if your water level gets low and will also suck in smaller fish (I lost a baby Fahaka puffer that way) down the skimmer into the filter if the water level is to high and the skimmer is not floating at the appropriate level. I want to add it's extremely loud when it sucks in air and you have to pay close attention if you have smaller fish in your tank (less than roughly 3" long) or the wind up dead in your hose or pipe. Fairly easy to clean and you can make small adjustments to the amount of inflow on the bottom of the pipe. I would not buy for a community tank.
