G.B.S Stylish Easy to Hold Hair Scalp Shampoo Brush Scrubber, Blue

I have owned this brush for a month shy of two years and it has held up respectably during that time.Pros: Made in U.S.A (U.S.A! U.S.A!), good construction, nice blue color that makes it invisible to the other gender* (according to market research), and the bristles are not too soft and not too hard which provides a nice fulfilling scrub. (5 stars)Cons: As with most good things in life, they don't last forever. This brush is no exception. After 2 years of light-duty work (Single person use, 3-4 days a week) the finger ring has broken off of the main part of the brush. This by no means renders the brush useless; I still use it but now I am forced to grasp the outer edges of the brush. A minor inconvenience. (-1 star)In case anyone suffers the same problem that I did, one idea I had was to drill a hole* on both sides of the brush (right next to where the finger ring used to be) and using a string to jerry-rig a new finger ring by pushing the end of the strings through the top of the brush (using the holes that were drilled) and tying a knot on the ends. The knots would keep the string from going all the way through while in use. A drill is not necessary to make holes, a nail warmed over an open fire would go through the plastic pretty easily too*.Disclaimer: Not liable for the other gender being able to see the brush. This is a nice scalp brush, WAY better than the Goody branded brush that I previously used. The loop on top is perfect for holding the brush against your palm with your middle finger. After me and several others using this brush for a year, it still has all its bristles, and looks like new. The bristles are stiff enough to easily do the job, but not so hard as to be uncomfortable. After using this brush, I can't imagine how I put up with the old one. I used it (or tried to use it!) once or twice since I got the new one, and it felt like an instrument of torture. Upon closer inspection, some of the bristles had a somewhat flat end that slanted to make a sharp tip. The bristles on this brush are fine enough, but the tips are properly rounded, so it does not scratch. By the way, this brush is darker in color than the picture on the product page currently shows. In my opinion, the true color of the brush actually looks better than the picture.

When I was a kid and would stay with my grandmother, I would use my grandfather's bathroom and shower, where he had an old shampoo brush. I thought it was the coolest thing! I've always had a very itchy scalp, and it felt marvelous to scrub my head with the shampoo brush. Throughout my life I had always wondered if I could ever find one, thinking them to be tools of a bygone era and likely no longer made. I was thrilled when I found that Amazon had several varieties of shampoo brush available!I will readily admit that this particular brush is more expensive than many of the others available through Amazon. I haven't tried the cheaper brushes, needing only one, but I can say that this particular model seems well worth the money.It is well constructed from one solid piece of plastic. The ring handle is perfect - it does not slip off my fingers. The bristles are stiff, but they allow for enough bend to give a great massage/scratch without being painful (although I have found if one is overzealous with the scrubbing, some minor discomfort may occur later when using a hairbrush!). The brush seems very durable. And, as an added bonus, it looks nearly identical to the one my grandfather had.I would definitely recommend this shampoo brush to anyone looking for a simple way to get a cleaner scalp. It sure does the trick in my house!

I was a little hesitant about paying $9.99 for this item, but I read the other rave reviews and thought I would give it a try. Item is indeed Made in the USA, and is decent quality though I think it's overpriced. It does indeed work well and stimulates the scalp immensely during shampooing, more so then I ever could attempt to get with my fingers.The brush is made of two materials, rigid plastic for the handle and the bristles themselves are made of a firm rubber material. The contoured design definitely hugs the scalp nicely.I did see the same brush listed for $1.29 on another site, as well as $6.99 for 6 of them from the same place. Only catch is the shipping charges were nearly $10, so better deals exist on other sites if you wish to buy 6 or more at a time so it pay's to shop around.There may be other options available that are lower cost that will do an equally great job, but I feel this one works well and hopefully it will last long enough to justify the cost.

I happened across these shampoo brushes while shopping for shampoo and decided to pick one up since I LOVE scratching my head when I wash. It feels great AND it makes me feel like my scalp is good and clean. I confess I know nothing about these so I just kind of went with it. I put soap in my hair per the usual and got my lather going then brushed my hair with this brush in the shower, focusing mostly on my scalp. I couldn't really "massage" it though. If I did I feel like it would really, really tangle my hair up. So I just brushed starting at my scalp going down and away like I would when detangling my hair. It felt nice and my head felt clean. The brush itself seems durable enough and fit into my palm.* Inital review. Will update for durability as appropriate.

Really helped with my dandruff problem! Wish it was a little but more flexible though
