Sescom SES-MKP-27 Professional Stereo 3.5mm Volume Control

I have an Apple IIgs and this is a very good way to change the volume to my external speakers (Apple/Boss RoomMate without volume control). Sure you can do it in software but not everything runs in the GS/OS finder. This way I can keep that at about 80% and then use this unit for fine control for all applications and games.

This solved ALL my alternator whine noise through my speakers.I've been looking for a remote volume knob for my setup, and every single RCA gain controller picked up awful alternator whine. I finally found this product that uses a 3.5mm volume control. ALL the noise is gone. It's fantastic.The price is a little high, but honestly, the product IS WORTH IT. Very solid construction. It's quite large, but I'll take a big product that works over a small product that doesn't.

Can create a small amount of line noise if my system isn’t tuned well. Otherwise very useful product that can be hard to find.Thanks

May be great for musical instrument use, but limited for use with external speakers
