Then my Occupational Therapist recommended this soft thumb splint/brace to wear at night
I injured my thumb many years ago, and over the years it became arthritic. I had to have a surgery called Ligament Reconstruction and Tendon Interposition. After I got my cast off I started doing hand exercises. Let me tell you, this sucker was sore! Then my Occupational Therapist recommended this soft thumb splint/brace to wear at night. Wow. It really helped with my rehab. A few years later, my other thumb started hurting. Is it an age thing? Overuse? I don't know. But, it hurt. I wanted to put off surgery on this one, so I ordered another one of these splints for the other hand. And it helped a lot!. Now when this thumb gets sore, I sleep with the splint on for a couple of nights. It feels so good that I've even worn it during the day as a reminder to not over work my hand. It is great. I'll probably still need to have surgery on this thumb as well, but in the meantime, this works. I highly recommend this product.

New Design
This is the brace I purchased a year ago. The last fastener came apart after about three months. I decided to go ahead and purchase another and was so glad to see that last fastener issue has be fixed. It is now sewn instead of glued and much more durable. I quickly placed an order for a second one since there won’t be any problems. So happy.

Comfortable, allows ppl with wrist/thumb pain freedom to do what you want and need to do!
If you have thumb pain/weakness and or tendonitis of the wrist, this can literally change your life.Makes office work so much easier!I really like how this brace is non-bulky and can be worn throughout the day at work, during typing, writing on the board, as well as during more physically demanding activities. My occupational therapist recommended this brace to me in 2013 and I've never looked back. After years of trying to find the right brace that would provide me support, be comfortable, and functional, this is the only soft splint I have found that I would recommend to orders!

comfortable and helps my pain but durability is an issue
This was recommended by my Occupational Therapist and it helps the soreness from my arthritic thumb joint. Most of it is well made with sturdy reinforcement stitching. I gave it 4 stars because they didn't extend the stitching out along the tab that loops around the thumb, and it came apart after just a few days. My OT stitched it for me and it works great now.

Works well
This restriction split works very well. It really helps minimize the pain as I go through PT. I have one for my left hand as well. This one frayed at the thumb a bit faster (probably because I am right handed). Still works well.

Good product. Strongly recommended.
This is the second of these thumb-splints I’ve had. I have arthritis in my thumb, at times rather badly. The orthopedic people said I should wear this brace several hours /day to provide some relief. Since it’s my dominant hand, wearing the splint for longer than 15 minutes wasn’t very practical. So I decided to start wearing it to bed. Sometimes I wear it all night & sometimes just part of it, but it has made a big difference in the level of discomfort I experience. I recently took a several day trip without the splint. I was VERY happy to see it when I got home. After a year, the Velcro was getting a little ratty; hence the new one.

PT recommended, excellent use daytime
I love these gloves for computer use. They reduce pain at the thumb, keep the thumb from moving inward towards the hand as recommended by my physical therapist. They are quite comfortable to wear. I only wish I had bought medium plus, since the medium was a bit too tight around the hand. However, it's quite adjustable. Needed it. used it two years and am very happy. After two years the velcro is not sticking any more in a key point, the strap going between the thumb and the hand. Tried cleaning out fabric. Will need another set, though it's otherwise usable, the strap does not stay down. Two years is fair use.
