In 1892, the lithographer Johann Adolf Rohrer (1850 – 1918) began with the production of special graphic supplements in the city of Leipzig. His son Johann Adolf Rohrer junior (1880-1953) – a skilled lithographer himself – continued the manufacture of these special products and founded with his partner Felix Arthur Klingner in 1907 the cooperation that is still known under the name Rohrer & Klingner Leipzig-Co. Rohrer & Klingner inks are made following traditional recipes and production methods using specially treated water, natural ingredients, and brilliant colourants. The well-balanced composition of Rohrer & Klingner inks make for an optimal, smooth ink flow and are fast drying.

In humid hot weather iron gall is arguably the best every day ink
Iron gall!! Just look at the word iron gall! In humid hot weather iron gall is arguably the best every day ink. It can work in any condition. Along with the iron gall component conventional blue dye is also added to give the good blue black tone. After the application Ink tends to change the color gradually to more dark blue black. The flow of iron gall ink is a bit dry so Salix is no exception. Use it in a medium size nib or greater you get an excellent shading. Last but not the least this is a waterproof ink.Best for humid summer in India.

Not for normal fountain pens - be careful
This ink is well recommended but mainly for dip pens and calligraphy. Because of its high gallium and iron content it can spoil normal fountain pens. So buy only for use with dip or glass pens.
