The test is easy to do and the results were back within 2 weeks. They give an indication of any health factors showing up in the DNA as well as the breeds. We were very surprised by the results - it also turns out the our dog has 42 distant relatives on the database! Very interesting as well as useful information.

Brilliant results. Didn't send any photos with the samples just so they didn't have any clues! Comprehensive and interesting reading. Our puppy is a Romanian rescue, approx 7kg but other than that we know nothing. I was convinced there was Dachshund in him because of his face and little turned out paws. There was 16% Dachshund! But more amazing was that there was Pit Bull, Boxer and Alasatian in him too! The medical reports were interesting as were the traits he was suspected to have. It was pretty much spot on from his dark muzzle to his fan tail! Very easy to take the swabs. Puppy wasn't fazed at all. Very clear instructions. Was about 2.5 weeks from receiving the pack to getting the results back. Very impressed!

I was slightly sceptical as to whether this was ‘legit’ but was desperate to know what other breeds may be present in my dog so I bit the bullet and ordered a test kit. The results have recently come back and the predominant breed is exactly what we bought him as, despite me not declaring what we believed he is, which tells me the test and subsequent results are 100% legitimate and genuine. The rest of the results were truly fascinating. Some real surprises and even information on his relatives as well! So simple to swab and send off and you are kept up to date with progress throughout. Already recommended to family and friends who have now bought test kits for their dogs too. Very pleased with this product.

Easy to use, simply 2 swabs inside cheeks. It confirmed breed and ruled out several inheritable health conditions, which was good. I was a bit disappointed, that some of the health conditions they checked for, weren't relevant to this breed. But I guess it's a broad spectrum to cover many possible breeds. Some interesting results.

I bought this on a recommendation and it certainly was great.

We had our rescue lurcher 3 years ago and although I suspected there is saluki and greyhound in him, I wanted to know for certain as it would account for some of his behaviour, which is different from our previous lurcher. All you send to the laboratory is 2 samples of your dog's saliva, no photos or any information whatsoever. Wisdom kept me up to date by email when they recieved and were processing the saliva. Two weeks later came the results and I was amazed! Scout is mainly saluki and greyhound with a few bits ot other ancestry thrown in. They also stated what colour he is and if he has any intolerance to any veterinary drugs, and the number of toes he has!! All of the breeds that are in him are illustrated and their traits explained. His results were cross-matched with other dog owners on the Wisdom database to see if there are any relatives. A photo of a dog that is probably his sister came up on my screen - it is the double of Scout!!! All in all I am so glad I chose this particular test kit, would highly recommend.

I ordered this DNA test because I adopted a dog which was rescued from the meat trade. I knew she was a mix breed & was interested to find out which breeds were in her DNA. She has 22 breeds in her & I'd say they got 99% correct. It tells you their traits & also they can find some of your dogs relatives which I was surprised about. The DNA is also tested against a lot of different veterinary drugs, which is helpful in finding out if your dog is allergic to any of those drugs. They also list out all the different breeds which are in your dog's DNA results & give an in-depth description of each breed. If you have a rescue dog & are interested in finding out more about them, this test is well worth the money, there is so much to read through when they send you the results! I highly recommend them! I am very pleased with the results, makes my dog extra special.

My dog was abandoned as a young pup years ago, and I took him on. Our personalities clicked immediately, and we instantly became inseparable. I've never had such a proud and handsome looking dog, with people regularly stopping me to ask about his breeding. It's always been a mystery; much speculation was definitely on border collie, and then possibly doberman, rottweiler or Labrador mix.. maybe a little bit of hound in there.Results show a 44% border collie with 29% Labrador retriever, 11% Siberian husky, and 6% rottweiler.. lower % on a couple of other breeds. Knowing my dog, his drive to work, intelligence, trainability, loyalty, fun-boy personality and his tendency to vocalise when he interacts, everything in this test makes perfect sense. I would recommend it if you don't know your dogs lineage, as a great bit of fun and insight.. the health screening is a big bonus, with my boy thankfully clear of any notable genetic issues. Turnaround time for test was very quick.. less than 2 weeks, with a bank holiday in the middle of it.

So impressed with this test!! I did a lot of research before buying it to make sure it was the best in the DNA testing field and I was not disappointed. Shipped to Australia pretty quickly and customer service helped me with some questions that I had about shipping it back quicker. The test was easy to do and the results are spot on (probably). I have two mutts from different rescues and their personalities make me think I had a herding breed and a lab, which I do! Happy to have this confirmation so I can now work towards meeting the needs of the genes of those breeds.

It was a present for my partner who doesn’t need a gift/ always buys for himself.(Our dog was our newest adopted from the pound, so we never know what we get)It was 3x the cost of a human DNA test with results like ‘ eye colour is likely brown’… seriously.But it was fun to do (just a swab) and her results are in the second pic :)

Test said 50% Chihuahua, abt 50% Pomeranian...the Pom I can believe, but my dog is about the size of a Border Collie! And behaves just like a working or herding dog. I think their sample pool is inaccurately self-reported. I purposely did not send in a picture of my dog in case they looked at the photo and made up the result- but perhaps, I should have! Pretty inaccurate.
