Barronett Blinds Grounder Portable Hunting Blind, Pop-Up Hub Blind, Large Shooting Windows, Bloodtrail Woodland

Really nice blind, much roomier than my previous blind, and much easier to set up and take down. Had my doubts about the whole "hub" thing, not having seen one in real life until after I actually got my blind and set it up, but was really impressed.Three things I was impressed with were:How the hub allows the blind to be slightly wider in the middle than at the base; because I was confused by the dimensions given, which seemed to contradict one another, but after I realized this, it made sense.Second thing that impressed me was that I was concerned that if the blind went up by merely pushing the hubs out until they locked, that a little gust of wind could push them inward collapsing the whole thing. Turns out that it takes a fair amount of effort to pop it out or in, but in addition to help insure that that doesn't happen, the blind is equipped with an eyelet on the outside of every hub so that you can tie a guy wire to prevent that from happening, plus there are staking points on the inside of the blind to anchor the whole thing from going anywhere too.Third thing that impressed me was the stiffness of the fiberglass framework. I set my blind up 5 weeks in advance (I live 180 miles away) and it was still up and good to go at deer season. I also liked having the option of leaving the windows wide open or leaving a black screen up on the inside and shooting through it if needed.My only complaint, which is pretty minor, is that the zippers are pretty noisy to operate. I just unzipped them to the level of openess I thought would work and didn't tweak it while hunting.

Nicely sized, reasonably sturdy, and nice-sized windows. Particularly like the zippers on the screens. Allows much more adjustability of windows.Camo pattern works well in spring woods. Subdued enough to blend as leaves emerge.

I have several hunting blinds. The set up of one of the other brand names is like a puzzle. You don't want to be dealing with a puzzle in the middle of the woods!! The Barronett Grounder is easy to set up. Pop the walls, then the ceiling, stake it out and you're good to go!! Good product, I highly recommend. A few bucks more, but worth it!

I used it for the entire month of Sprig turkey and I am very happy with it. The blind seems to be well-built and pops up in less than a few minutes. The size is great for two gun hunters, but I would stick with only one hunter for bow season (I'm a tree stand guy for bow season anyway). The color is much more natural (less bright) in person. A friend of mine bought a similarly priced blind from Armeristep and it was crap (poles broke after only a few hunts). This blind is one of the better values out there. I feel like you get the quality of a more expensive blind for the price of a cheap blind. Granted that I have only used it for one month and I don't leave it outside when I'm not using it. If I were to criticize anything about the blind it would be that the poles block the windows from going down easily all the way, however, with the large size of the windows, I don't really want them going down all of the way anyways.

The overall quality and roominess of the blind is nice but the three windows leave a lot to be desired.Each window opening zips up in a T configuration when closed. At first glance this appears to offer several options for concealment or viewing however each of the three directional zippers are singular. Were there two zippers per section then you would double the options for choosing the window size opening. In my case, with a 12 year old shooting off of a rest the window had to be fully open for them to have enough clearance to see out. This leaves an entirely too large opening for exposure to be seen, rain and wind.The included tie down stakes are very disappointing. Cheap metal and not nearly long enough to adequately secure the blind. Sitting in it now with 15 mph winds the little stakes are just pulling right out of the ground. I will replace these and that will solve the problem but honestly it would be better to sell the blind without any stakes so folks could procure their own before setting it up in a moderate wind and then being disappointed.

Wow!, fantastic blind. Bought for a hunt at a friends ranch where there were no blinds and expected a little bit of rain. Box was a little beat up when it arrived but blind was in perfect condition. Tried it out inside the house and never looked at directions and it was up in less than a minute. Set it up outside and left it for a few days to air it out and let the vinyl smell go away. Packed it up in less than a minute, took it to hunt and it worked beautifully. I sat in it with my friend and my 12 yr old son. We each had a folding chair and had plenty of room. We were covered up with deer and only got busted when a young doe walked right at us about 30 yd from the blind and saw us. Son shot an axis buck out of it about 60 yds out. For $89 I don't think you can get a better blind. The stitching on top did leak a little but a little strip of vinyl tape would fix that. You can feel the quality and it is sturdy. Everyone at the ranch was impressed with how solid it was and how easy it was to set up and take down. Sure the zippers may be a little loud but if you open real slow you can do it quiet enough not to disturb anything. We were shooting rifles so didn't shoot through the screen, you can probably remove these if not shooting a bow. All in all I would and may just buy another one of these. Barronett has earned my trust and business when it comes to pop-up blinds. Really like the pouch for holding the stakes. Bent a few but we were in TX hill country so some pretty rocky ground. Very happy with this purchase and confident it will last many years of intermittent use. Actually thinking of using it when we go out predator hunting with NV and Thermal as it can be put up and taken down in a snap.
