Really, really good. Couldn't be happier.
I bought these because they fitted the style of my kitchen and they looked sturdy. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen and other single leg gas lift types have been ruined within months. I only read the reviews after I'd bought them and the reviews got me really worried. I'd also bought half price from Amazon Warehouse so I was prepared for 'significant cosmetic damage'. On arrival I was more cautious than I usually am, checked the number of components before assembly and checked over for the 'cosnetic damage'. In short there was no damage and all the parts were there, albeit the bolts were on food storage bags so someone had obviously had a go previously. I assembled the first on half an hour with the help of my 10yr old nephew and. It really was straigh forward, the second was assembled in around 20minutes. They seem sturdy, good quality and there are no wobbly parts or wonky screws. They are quite big which won't suit everyone's kitchen but they are perfect for us as we're all tall and well built. If you check the dimensions they are exactly as described so I did smile when one review mentioned cutting the legs. They're exactly what we wanted. I couldn't be happier and they were an absolute bargain!

Extremely mis-shaped foam seat pad
Really researched and even though I could get have bought cheaper chairs I liked the square legs on these chairs. The plastic bucket seat is very well made, similar to Habitat's Jerry chair, and the foam seemed good quality but it means nothing if the PCV is sagging/gathered coming out of the box. The seat pad is so mis shaped also. If they'd have been cheap, as in 50 quid a set fair enough, but I paid more for a quality product and unfortunately this is not quality. This is the second review I've ever written, but felt I had to let buyers know as it looks hours to find something I liked and im annoyed I've wasted my time and energy on something that was promising to be quality but isnt because theres no quality control on the seat pad. Truly gutted.

Wobbly Chair
I ordered two of these chairs for the office and one of them after construction wobbles. It looks like one wooden leg has been cut shorter than the other and wobbles quite badly.

Disappointed
There were few bits of screw missing and inside the package all the items were loose…..not happy.

These chairs have more style than comfort or quality
The style and design of these bar stools is a grade above their manufacturing quality. They look the part and they do have a certain Scandinavian minimalist elegance to them. Unfortunately the materials used are not so elegant, and the chairs end up feeling like plastic school assembly chairs with a cushion on.I do like the look of them. I got a light grey set and it’s a nicely neutral and quite homely colour that isn’t going to clash with anything. I think some people may find it a bit too “office-like” in nature but for our kitchen, which already has dashes of different shades of grey, it’s a pleasant fit and feels smart. I was pleased with how they looked, for sure. They are quite pleasant to sit on, but only for fairly short spaces of time. For the length of an afternoon tea break, they are fine, but if I had to work from home and spend eight hours a day on this chair, I wouldn’t enjoy it- they’re not for people considering turning their kitchen breakfast bar into a work-from-home area. They are of course a fixed height, which is fairly high in my opinion. When sat on this chair you can get my chunky thighs underneath our kitchen worktop, but only just, there isn’t a lot of room for manoeuvre. On the set I got, there were several little mini imperfections, for example a couple of mini scratches in the paint of the black metal ring, and tiny little splinters around the screw holes in the wood- easy enough to smooth off, and not worth contacting the manufacturer about, but enough of them to make a bad first impression when putting them together. The assembly experience is surprisingly annoying. I’m normally OK bumbling my way through flatpacks but this one was the first to make me wonder whether spending extra on expert assembly would’ve been a good idea. The instructions are just a single sheet, and ought to be simple- but whoever designed the images showing you which screws go where was having an off day for sure. The first instruction is a mess, and certain parts like the foot protectors being applied aren’t shown in the instructions. These chair designers seem to assume that the people who will be building the chairs live in some kind of zero-gravity environment where the pieces will magically hover in the air until they are screwed in. Lining up the near-invisible holes in the black metal ring and getting four screws in simultaneously without any of them starting to fall out was a dexterity challenge for me. Unless you have a second pair of hands to help you, it’s an awkward assembly process that certainly doesn’t make you feel better about the imperfections in the product. The description mentions “plastic foot caps” for preventing floor scratches, when in fact these are sticky foam pads rather than plastic, which is probably just as well as plastic foot caps don’t sound very appealing. If you have young kids, beware that these chairs are fairly top-heavy, for anticipated grown-up use. However the ring around the side does work as a step for young kids wanting to clamber up, and if they’ve got that classic kids habit of rocking back on the hind legs of chairs, then there are accidents waiting to happen here as these bar stools are capable of tipping backwards quite easily (this applies to grown-ups too!).This is our second set of Movian bar stools, which is useful for a growing family, but the other set, the Sarnen, were really very different- office-style swivel chairs on a single metal pole. Given the choice between the two, I think the Sarnen don’t quite look as nice, but ultimately those are the better pair. The manufacturing quality on these needs a bit of work in my opinion.

Beautiful set of stools, assembly really easy apart from the ring.
Got these to try out and they really are a beautiful set of bar stool. The soft grey padded seat combined with the long wooden legs look great. Everything came really well packaged and all of the individual pieces were wrapped in protective packaging.Assembly for the most part, was super simple. You attach the wooden legs to the metal base, attach the ring to the legs and then attach the assemble leg section to the seat. The only issue I came across was the ring. Once I'd attached the legs to the metal base, I went to attach the ring, which is secured with a screw through each of the legs. The ring however, seemed too big and the screws would not reach it. In the end I realised I had to squeeze the ring towards the each leg as I screwed it in. This was not mentioned in the manual and if they just made the ring slightly smaller this wouldn't be an issue in the first.Anyway, besides that one issue, assembly was a breeze and it looked great once assembled. I'm used to hard bar stools so having a bit of padding definitely makes it more comfortable to use.. If it wasn't for the issue with the ring I would have happily given this 5 stars.
