Beware! Does not fit every Sig Sauer!
Bought from Amazon, size 8 left handed, for my used Sig SP2022 in 9mm with the full length accessory rail. Upon inspection and function test, I found this holster to fit securely on my leg. However, once I started function testing, a few things stood out to me.- The quick disconnect buckles used to connect the holster to your belt were malformed or something. Out of the box they refused to snap into place and required a little bit of bending in order to get them to work. I switched them up to see if it changed anything with still the same result. I am afraid that if I have to keep bending them in order to get them to work, they will eventually break.- The handgun fit is tight, and I mean TIGHT. I have seen videos where others would just drop the handgun into the holster and it would snap into place with an audible click with little effort. On this particular holster I had to drive the handgun HARD into the holster to get the "auto-lock" to engage and hear the click. During the tests I was pushing so hard that my pants were starting to fall off. Even with the retention screw backed all the way out the amount of resistance was ridiculous.- In turn, this tight fit also required me to drive my hand down onto the handgun in order to get the "auto-lock" loose enough to disengage. If I were to simply press the release lever to disengage the lock, I would have had to use more force than was safe/necessary for releasing/drawing the handgun. It was so much force that the lever would actually bend quite a bit before it would disengage.- I have a replica Sig Sauer P226 X-Five bb gun that fits better in this holster, which is weird as this holster wasn't even made for it. It was easy to drop in w/audible click, and no trouble disengaging the lock.I came upon this Blackhawk! because I was looking for a cheap retention holster and found this to be half the price of other comparable drop leg holsters sold here on Amazon. After a little research I found that Blackhawk! states in their holster fitment chart for 2015 that their holsters fit most Sig handguns, not all, MOST. They don't even tell you which ones will fit, just that some of them do. That being said, it's a real shame as I cannot recommend this holster for the Sig SP2022, at least from an online retailer. So unless you can physically handle one to inspect for fitment to your handgun, Sigs in particular, stay away or risk disappointment and money wasted.
