LED fairy lights, does not come with batteries.
It’s pretty but gets glitter everywhere. The battery pack was confusing at first but you’ll see the arrows showing you to slide the top off.The cord and stand can be hidden well with an artificial tree. Happy with the purchase.

Pretty, but not ideal for tall trees.
Sharing some learnings as this was my first tree topper purchase. If you have a tall tree make sure it plugs in vs having a battery. It will be challenging to climb a step stool to turn this in and off. This was missing the plastic battery cover. Nothing tape couldn't fix, but still disappointing. But the star isbeautiful and the light it gives off is perfect.

Incomplete battery pack, replacement broken
It was super pretty but non functional/defective. The battery pack did not have a back cover nor the metal/wiring needed to receive power from batteries. It was just an open plastic shell with one wire and the proper metal for one of three batteries.Update: replacement arrived. Battery pack perfect and works well. A few points on the star were broken but not enough to be noticeable from a distance so I’m not bothering with returning it again. Super pretty but quality control seems to be an issue

Uses batteries quickly.
Beautiful star, however it drains batteries extremely fast. Changed the batteries three time in 10 days.

Not so happy
I love the look of this star, however it is going through batteries unbelievably fast. I would not reorder it because of how fast it kills batteries. I am using Duracell batteries so I wouldn't think they'd go out as fast as they are. One set only lasted 2 days. Im not even replacing them until closer to Christmas.

FIRE HAZARD BEWARE
I purchased this about a month ago, not realizing it was battery powered. It ate through batteries like crazy. We had it on maybe an hour or two every night and it would be dead within 5-7 days.Well, tonight, it randomly flickered off and started literally smoking. Upon looking closer, it appears an LED burnt up. For how small this thing is, it produced a lot of smoke and now our living room smells like an electrical storm.Be VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS PRODUCT. I'm just glad we were watching it so I could remove the batteries immediately. I imagine this could be a significant fire risk.
