I bought Harbor freight tapered countersink bits previously and thought man this takes alot of work. Well, it's bc Harbor freight has junk bits. These things drill and Countersink like butter, so easy. And it pulls the wood together when screwing effortlessly. Buy now and have for the rest of your life since can replace the actual bit if somehow it ever fails on you. Spend more money once, than 5 more times later on

I've been using the same sets of Snappy driver/drill bits for over 25 years and they are the best. If a bit breaks you can switch it out with a bit you buy at the lumber yard/hardware store. I own the Snappy drill bits, the counter sink set and driver chuck and now the tapered bit set. My old sets have never failed me, not like some competing brands whose bits are pressed into the driver chuck and can spin out. Snappy bits are money well spent. Snappy Tools are well made tools you can use happily for years if not decades. I am in the construction industry and use these bits A LOT.

I initially bought the Dewalt version from HD. They wobbled when drilling, like it was off-center, and the small one snapped off in the wood after only 2 days of limited use. Reviews revealed it as a common problem across Dewalt and other brands carried at the big-box stores. I bet they're all just repackaged as different brands. More research led me to Snappy.Immediately after using the Snappy bits, I was happy that they felt centered and secure. As with the other brands, it feels like the #s dont match well with the same # screw, so I've been using the smallest one for your average 1-4" wood screws.

38 years in construction and have used all types of counter sinks and tapered drill bits for standard drill and impacts. These by far are the best. The DeWalt's and others can't keep up with these. The hex base on those are stamped on and will not last with an impact driver. Search no further.....
