Safari Ltd. Frogs & Turtles TOOB - 12 Mini Frog and Turtle Figurines - Educational Toy Set for Boys, Girls,and Kids Ages 3+

These are a great addition to our pond life theme. We have been using them for math games, and will soon use them for sensory activities.

My son loves poison dart frogs. He had this pack and played with one of the frogs so much that the leg broke so I bought a new pack for him.

My daughter loves this Safari Ltd. Frogs and Turtles tube. They are quality made and have nice detailing.

The frogs are delightful but the turtles are too plainly painted and too vaguely modeled to be identified as individual species. The turtles' coloring is so off as to be completely made-up... Paint quality (or lack thereof) has long been a problem with Safari Ltd's toob collections but they had been improving recently, so I was disappointed that this was more like the bad old days.For educators who use these for science lessons, be aware that the names printed on the frogs are a bit off. Included are a yellow-banded poison dart frog (Dendrobates leucomelas), a critically endangered Lehmann’s poison frog (Oophaga lehmanni), and a dyeing poison dart frog (Dendrobates tinctorius “azureus”). The blue dyeing poison dart frog is considered a color morph rather than a separate species or true subspecies.

My 5 year old loves nature and was very excited to receive this gift. He plays with them a lot. They are very durable and have a wide variety of species. I wish they came with a description of the different types of frogs including name, range and special characteristics. Even a link to read more about the frogs so I could add an additional educative experience around the toys.
