Review of The Oz Factors
The purpose of this book is to give a reader some guidelines in a quest to solve the mysteries of life. In my opinion, it serves that purpose well. Each of the 12 Oz factors represents a "common denominator of Western Logic which prevents observation, understanding, and the attainment of workable solutions to the problems of human origin and existence." Further, the author states, "The allegorical story of The Wizard of Oz and its timeless characters is an appropriate vehicle through which to learn more about the mysteries of life." If you read the book, I think you will agree. The learning of philosophical principles is thereby made not only easier, but actually delightful. Here are a few of the Oz factors, to whet your appetite for the others: Missing Information: Most real thinkers would agree that a valid concept of any subject that all information pertinent to it be available. But, study of almost any subject reveals not only that there are missing pieces to the puzzle, but that often the pieces are missing because vested interests (another Oz factor) have deliberately withheld them from the public. Assumptions: Every theory presented by so-called authorities in science, religion, politics, etc contains one or more assumptions. If the assumption is false, the theory crashes. And so we suspect that the reason why assumptions are rarely listed is that their presence would expose the weaknesses in the view being advanced. Source of Information: Many sources of information like to "play God", promoting unquestioning belief in their views. Example from Science: "We're smart and you're not, so just accept what we say." Example from Religion: "We're holy and you're not, so just accept what we say." They need to be told, "Curb your dogma!" False Information: Investigation shows that many sources deliberately put out false information, for reasons related to the benefit of the organization they support. To quote the author: "Lies replace the truth when a vested interest is being served." I could go on with praises for this book, but space won't permit it. Bottom line: If you want to be a clearer thinker and a more successful searcher for truth, you will do well to read this book.

Pointing out the truth behind the cover story
This is a book that you will pick up and read again and again. The topics are fed to you slowly and then you are hit with the cold hard truth, that the public has been duped on every side. For those of you who wish to share the truth, this is a great reference book of material for conversation that can become explosive. I have the book close to me most of the time. This is one to own and keep reading as time goes on. There are more and more areas of reality to address then anyone has ever realized or cares to observe in most cases.. Few know the truth or even wish to accept the truth. Life is not always as it seems.

Mandatory reading for all citizens of Earth!
This is an incredible book that will open your eyes to the real history of mankind, the current precarious conditions of our world's ecology, economy, and social structures under the influence of the powerful and oppresive vested interests, and the propaganda machines they control and use so well.I could not put this book down as Lawrence Spencer gave me a history lesson unlike any I ever had before. And even as I was being amazed by this tapestry of the history and development of the educational, medical, pharmaceutical, banking, government and military organizations of our world, it was the combined impact of their effects on our planetary environment, the health, sanity, and freedom of all beings that changed my viewpoint forever. I was so shocked that it took this book to draw back the curtains of illusion and make the truth so evident that I had to admit to an old, nagging apprehension that things were not quite as they appeared or were being "officially" presented to be.The author's humor and wit kept me glued to this story, and the analogy of "The Wizard of Oz" to these frightening mysteries of life made the vast scope of this work magically comprehensible. He even exposes the simplicity of how to handle our information overload so that we can actually see and determine for ourselves just what is actaully going on "in the merry old land of Oz" so we can act to help create a meaningful future on this planet. I foresee this book as a major motivation for increased global awareness and social responsibility that will rejuvenate our hopes for the future generations with positive and effective actions taken now.

What makes a book good?
You probably think it's a good thing to question assumptions. Well if a book helps to to discover assumptions that you forgot you were assuming, you might call that a revelation. I for one enjoy a good revelation. This book is full of them, and wasn't that the real story of the Wizard of OZ? I knew there was something about that movie.....
