I have never had a razor as comfortable as this razor
I wish I could give this razor 6 stars. I have never had a razor as comfortable as this razor. I've tried a lot of them over the years. I found that a straight razor with a premium very sharp blade would cut me at times. I even tried a Harry razor and it feels like shaving with a brick when you compare it to this blade. I use Taylor of Bond Street shaving cream purchased here, and a badger brush to put it on, so I take my shaving seriously. And when you add in this razor, boy you have something. You can also buy a four pack of blades on Amazon for only $2 each! That also makes this a really great buy.

Smooth shave and very comfortable on the skin.
I've almost always stuck with Gillette mach series razors, but I have tried Schick razors from time to time and never been happy. This one changed everything though. for a disposable razor, this is great. Smooth shave and very comfortable on the skin. Took me a while to figure out that you could pop the head back to use it like a trimmer... without that I would probably be inching back towards the mach.Recently tried changing to the Dorco razors to save a buck, but after that torture experiment I'm back to the Schick Hydro 5.

Great for bald heads
Figured I would try these since dorco switched up their blade design and I'm glad I did. Great quality, lasts many shaves of my head and neck and a decent price. Can't go wrong

Good, quality razor, good value too.
I bought one of these handles with two cartridges back around the holidays. I've all but sworn myself to using Proglides, but I have used the regular Hydro 5 with good results. Most of my shaving is on my head. I think everyone's head is sensitive in at least one area. Mine is where the part in my hair used to be. I thought I should give these sensitive skin Hydro 5's a try.The razor itself works very good. I've always liked Schick's razors for their sharpness. The sensitive version of the Hydro 5 has lots of lubrication on the cartridge and I've generally liked this feature with the Hydro 5's. One problem I had with the regular Hydro 5 and is a problem with this sensitive version as well is the more water you run on the blade, the quicker the lubrication runs out. I can shave my entire head in 4-5 minutes, but it requires a handful of passes under the hot water during that time to keep the blade from getting clogged up.Which is my biggest problem with these cartridges. The lubrication runs onto the blade which also slows the rinsing off of hair. We're working in a backwards assembly line here. I want to use less lubrication per shave, but the blades clear the hair so easily, the hair is getting clogged in the lubrication which requires more hot water running across the blade/lubrication pockets.I haven't shaved my face with a razor in nearly two years, having a beard and using electric trimmers to trim it has stopped my need for shaving my face, but I'm going to guess these cartridges would be just fine for regular face shaving. The Proglides are only my favorite because it's my head I'm shaving. The thin blades of the Proglides allows the thick hair from my head to be rinsed off easily. If comparing the two blades head to head at the current price and still shaved my face, I would use the Hydro 5's as a daily razor, but would give the edge to the Proglides for head-shavers, even at the higher price. I'm giving this razor a 4 star. The one star I'm taking off is for the wasted lubrication that wouldn't be wasted if the blades rinsed off better. Maybe the lubrication is causing the blades to be harder to rinse off? Still, a good quality product. Oh and I also buy and recommend these sets like this one for travel/vacation so I don't have to keep up with handles, cartridges.

Great razor worth the price
For years I thought I was the problem - not my razors. I have ethnic hair and sensitive skin and had poor performance from everything I tried, even after the higher end Venus types came out. I also presumed they were all the same and didn't bother trying more expensive razors. I have learned my lesson. This is a whole other species to the usual ladies shaver - no nicks, no irritation, great close shave. I am a convert.
