2 Pack Light Control Sensor Button Switch,2 Pack Photoelectric Switch,120V AC Outdoor Hard-Wired Post Eye Light Control, Dusk to Dawn Sensor,with Automatic Illumination Detection Circuit

Had an exterior floodlight with a light sensor for dusk/dawn operation. The light sensor failed. Used this as a replacement and now my expensive floodlight fixture works like new again.

It fit just like the original. I wired it as per the diagram and it works fine.

I returned these in error. Thought they were shorted because the lamp stayed on. Should have waited longer because the transition time is slow to avoid transient light changes. They can take a minute or two to change from on to off. They should have come with instructions like the one I got Lowes.

These are a perfect fit for repairing a C***co LED porch lamp.....they thread right into the lens assembly for the low voltage photocell in the C***co fixture....remove the failed LED chip light, remove the 32vDC powersupply, add a ceramic base for an E26 light bulb....presto! a $15 fix, don't throw away that fixture! This photocell has a handy time delay feature, so something like headlights from a car won't cause the light to flicker off and on.

High hopes because I wanted to switch over from old mechanical light switch to photo. Rewired everything and tried dark/light test - switch didn't activate. Tested all the lines and eventually found the new photo switch bad. Lucky I bought two. second worked as advertised using the same wiring. ? Bad switch.UPDATE: second may have worked all night but today it too has failed.

The second one worked fine, the first one I installed turned on the light the night I installed it, then never again. I luckily only needed one from the 2 pack, so I installed the second one. It's been working like a champ!

I bought two new exterior outdoor fixtures installed them and realized that the circuit for the fixtures was not the same circuit as the house photo cell which lights the home address. I bought these photo cell units yesterday and installed them today and they work great! I had to do a little wiring and drilled a couple of holes in the fixtures, the result is fantastic. Solid product looks like a quality product. Time will tell. Good luck.

This sensor is narrow and can be installed in tight spaces. Sounds like it has a light sensor driving a thermal switch inside -- has some natural hysteresis and works with all kinds of loads (e.g. LEDs). Good.
