The scale is very accurate and repeatable, and can measure in English (ounces/pounds) and Metric (grams). It also has a volume measurement in ml (milliliters)/fluid ounces which is based on the fact that 1 ml of water weighs almost exactly 1 gram. So, it is most accurate for water-based ingredients. Nonetheless, I find it very helpful.The metal cover plate on the weighing platform lifts off for easy cleaning.Escali customer service is quite responsive. A problem developed with one scale (I own two). I got in touch, sent some pictures and a short video clip, and they promptly sent a replacement.Very highly recommended.

Using for weight watchers love it

The Escali Nutro Digital Food Scale is a compact and versatile kitchen scale. The tare function and the support for multiple units is a plus. The only negative I encountered was the lack of precision while adding sub-gram ingredients like yeast, salt, etc. I would choose .1g model for precise baking or other jobs.

This was about the 5th scale I purchased. It didn’t weigh to a .1 gram but it did weigh to a .5 gram. Ok, better than most that only weigh to the whole number rounding up or down. Not only does it weigh ml exactly the same as grams but I added 6 grams to the scale and it didn’t recognize it at all (this happened multiple times). When you’re trying to weigh your food accurately to stay with in your macros. This is very important. I really thought I’d finally found the best scale, paying about twice what the others cost. Well I guess the price doesn’t really you at all how something will work. This is going back and I’m off on my quest to find the best food scale..

This food scale is exactly what we needed for our home canning. The scale looks very small and takes up very little room, but it can weigh up to 15 pounds easily. Being able to zero out the basket weight is a great feature. It is a great value for the cost.

I ordered this for my sourdough bread making and it was recommended by Tom of The Sourdough Journey. Two things: 1) there were no batteries included as the package said. 2). Not accurate at all! I measured a small glass bowl and I did not get the same answer twice!!! Perhaps this was damaged, but I would think for the price it would be more accurate than this. I got it because my other scale was inaccurate.

I bake a lot. My old scale gave up the ghost (it was 12 years old) and I needed a new one, but did not want to spend a fortune so I discovered Nutro. This is an easy to read scale - large numerals and backlit - and has simple buttons - on/off, tare, grams/ounces. The best part for me is to be able to continuously tare: flour then yeast then sugar, etc. Accuracy is excellent. You can consistently produce quality baked goods time after time. Definitely recommend this scale.

Die Waage gibt an auf 0,1g genau zu messen, was weit verfehlt wird. Die Waage misst eher in 2-3g Schritten, ist also weit davon entfernt genau zu sein und eignet sich daher nicht für Zwecke wie z.B. Backen in kleinen Mengen. Anscheinend hatte die Marke Escali einen guten Ruf für ein anderes Modell. Diese Waage war allerdings nicht zu gebrauchen.

Rubbish scale if you're weighing light items like tea. If I tare a small teapot on it and add 5grams of tea it won't react. But if I remove the tea it'll display -5grams instead.Pretty crap scale that does a good job at presenting itself as accurate by displaying a resolution of 0,5grams. My 10 year old cheap phillips scale was better until it finally broke and is unforfunately not being produced anymore.

The scale is malfunctioning after 5 months of use. The weight measurement becomes inaccurate as the weight numbers cannot stabilize and continuously increase on their own when the scale is turned on.
