This worked very well. I rebuilt my forks on my bike for less than $100..

Bought to use on my 2004 GSX-R750, and both the tool pieces fit without issue. The ring tool is made of aluminum, but was absolutely plenty strong to hold the spring down while someone else slips the card onto the damping rod. Absolutely no risk of bending it whatsoever. The card/shim piece also fit onto my damping rod with no issue, and didn't slip off.My GSX-R fork springs aren't the stiffest in the world, but I had to put maybe almost my entire body weight on the ring tool to compress the spring, maybe 100-130lbs, and the tool didn't have any trouble with this. The folks who are bending these are probably doing something wrong. Like with any tool, use with care, and have a friend help and it should work just fine for light-duty DIY fork work.Worked as expected and should work again in the future as many times as I need it to.

It does work it seems pretty cheaply made though I'd be curious to find out how it holds up as a professional motorcycle mechanic in the business every day I do not think this one will last long however I did buy it for my home shop and not at work we will see only time will tell a little nicer quality material in a wood squeeze out a five star especially for the price

Don’t try to struggle without this…The fork springs are strong and this makes the job so much easier. A little learning curve with the first fork makes the second fork a piece of cake.

Quality good and big shim is a plus for me

Wish I had the time to make my own, bit this did the job on 2 sets of forks so far. Probably will be good for many more seeing as it isn't a very complicated tool
