They Work Great
In fact, they work almost too well. Not a real long story actually, but I had set them out in various places in our house and garage. In a few days I got a couple Rats in them. Fine and great. But today those super-traps presented me with a bit of a problem. You see, I had to inspect a plug-in behind the piano because I had a dead circuit. Well, I pulled the piano away from the wall and moved into a place where I could reach the plug. The plug was just pulled out a little. so I simply pushed it back in and everything started working again. However, now I had a problem, I was bare-footed (I live in Palm Desert, Ca. where it got to about 100 today) and, I stepped right into the middle of the huge glue field that is present on the traps and guess what??? Three guesses and the first two don't count. Ahh, let me just say this: to get my bare right foot released from the super-sticky glue on the trap took a bit of doing; and then, I had a right foot that even though it was no longer stuck to the trap, my right bare foot was now covered with SUPER-GLUE!! Presently, I think I will simply have to wear the remaining super-adhesive off my right foot, naturally. Yes, I can really vouche for the POWER of that glue they use. And, if you ever want to just hang out a while in one place, step both bare-feet into two of the traps. However, even better, because in this case less is definitely more: if you were to get both feet into just one trap, where there is certainly room enough to get three feet in just one trap easily, you would really be hanging with the rats for a while. I got my foot out of the one trap because I had the other foot free to step on the edge of the trap. It wasn't real easy even then. But, with both feet stuck in one single trap would be another thing altogether. You might expire along with another couple rats that would keep you company. And, thankfully, at least your feet would smell good afterwards. Because, you see, the super-strong glue in the JT Eaton Traps are PEANUT-BUTTER flavored. It smells good enough to eat. In fact, you might be able to stay alive by eating some of it. If you thought ahead and brought along some Jelly...Homer

Great job
Less than 24 hours in place and already 2 mice captured. I can't tell if it's the bait or just good placement but these are sticky enough to keep the mice from getting out. I'm not sure they would be strong enough for rats, so keep that in mind. I found the mice shortly after capture and they were trying to gnaw themselves out. Definitely need to check often. These traps are large so they work well for our needs. As others have indicated, these are "double" traps so in essence, you are getting 12 trays. Good price and they work: 5 stars.UPDATE: Used in conjunction with poison bait and eliminated my mice problem. I kept the traps in my air returns (on the floor) because there’s an abandoned house next door that they’re starting to rehab. I was worried about having new friends and surprise, I caught another mouse this morning after about 3 months. This is really a testament to the traps because they’ve been in an air vent and have tons of dust, etc. in them and still kept their stickiness.UPDATE WITH TIP: I’ve seen negative reviews about laying these around and not catching anything. You need to strategically place them and use more than one. Lining them up against a wall is one good way or blanketing an area where you’ve seen them. Also it would be best to add additional food to attract. Just crumble some cookies or crackers in the center.

I have had good luck with these when used I rotation with other trap types. These are much safer than poison and have no risk of secondary poisoning other rare animals like hawks and eagles that may eat poisoned mice and then die by secondary poisoning. I have bought most of the sticky traps that are sold here on Amazon and this one has the most sticky stuff in it by far. Mice are smart and after you have caught a few the rest will learn from their friends mistakes and you have to change it up every other week. They do have short memories so after a week or two of using a different type of trap you can put these back and they will again be effective. They do seem kind of inhumane, however I don't think too many starve to death in these as others have said. I think either dehydration or Suffocation from the glue covering the mouth kills them first. I just put one out in my garage last night afte seeing the mouse run inside as the garage door closed. It was stuck in the trap and dead in the morning. If you don't get results in the first few days, try movies get it or adding fresh bait. For the record all the ones I received have been in good shape with the glue where it bellongs. They are also great for insects! I put a few in my attic to deal with any mice that make it up there and they ended up catching hundreds of carpenter ants that I didn't even know I had. After seeing all the ants in the trees and went out and got some specific ant bait, but that's a different review.
