Much better than hauling the textbook to class. I leave the full textbook version at home and use it to study. Any classroom or clinical work, I use this. Wish they had a newer edition. Fyi, I tried to get by with the previous edition. Most of the time I do use older editions. But given that this one is 5 years old and the edition b4 that is another 4-5 years older, I was uncomfortable that perhaps a number of the recommended standard practices had been changed. I didn't have time to compare so if some has, please let us know.

Had everything I needed during my OB rotation, and more. Also includes nursing care plans that go beyond r/f infection , pain, etc. I liked the pictures of postpartum exercises, I would often show these to patients. This book has a world of knowledge in it, great section on both control as well.

This is a great book for a nurse that needs a reference for prenatal and newborn care. My only problem is that the title seems to misinform you...It speaks of Women's Health and I expected to see gynecological problems and this book has NO information about that. Major disadvantage if you are working GYN. Otherwise, worth the buy.

I purchased this book for my RNC course and I was very pleased with the content and he format of the book. The information is precise and very helpful for study. I also continued to use it for my everyday practice in Maternal/ Newborn nursing. I love it.
