I bought this for my Alpine iLX-W650, connected exactly how the instructions said and it still did not work. I cannot access the control panel to connect my BT or even change the radio clock.

This worked perfect for my Alpine ILX-W650. The instructions that come with it clearly state to hook the green wire up to the yellow blue on your alpine. This is probably where a lot of people screw up installing it because they want to hook the yellow wire on the bypass to the yellow blue wire on the alpine. Just follow the instructions and it works great!

Initially I was using the illumination wire as a work around but having to flicker my marker lights to change settings on the stereo was annoying.This product works as described when installed following the directions it came with. My unit (Alpine iLX-W650) only used 3 of 4 wires. Remote (blue), Ground (black), and the Break Bypass (green). The yellow wire was for a different head unit so I just clipped it.Low and behold it works! Good thing too because I soldered the wires in. I would have been pissed if it hadn’t.

After buying the Alpine ilx-w650 radio I had no inkling that it would require a parking brake connection in order to get to most of the functions. After doing web research I happened upon this little item and took a chance. Needless to say that it was easy to install and fixed the issues I was having. Owner of a 2003 Ford F-150 I do not have a hand parking brake and this just made it simpler.Highly recommended for anyone considering this.

Product not only doesnt work as marketed, it appears to be completely fake

This works perfect. Not sure why so many reviews state it doesn’t work. Easy to install. Took me a couple minutes. I wired it to an Alpine iLX-W650 mounted in a 2011 F-350. The iLX-W650 only has the parking break connection so just capped off the yellow lead.

I'm not good with wiring. Someone else installed my radio. I didn't know at the time we needed a bypass. I received the bypass a couple days later amd did it myself reluctantly. It worked flawlessly the first try. Excellent instructions included.

Did not work for Alpine INE-W970HD. I have to disconnect it and reconnect it in order for it to recognize that there's a bypass connected and that's not how they're supposed to work. WORTHLESS JUNK!
