So far good product for the price
I was looking for a pair of good focus mitts to replace my old cheap (free with boxing gloves...) and dead mitts for my martial arts classes. Based on the reviews, I was looking for something comfortable but most importantly, durable. These mitts were at a good price point. When I first received it the product (like any new leather type product) was tight and stiff. But after some time, about a month if usage, they broke in fairly nicely. I get a lot of positive comments and feedback from other students in class that they like the product. My only one complaint thus far is that these mitts are not light. I am a pretty big guy and consider myself to be in decent shape but holding them for a long class does get tiring...they do however provide good padding and wrist support (as a trade off).09/09/2019 Update:So I have now been using these mitts for 1.5 years and they are now "well" broken in. The mitts have held up really well - I utilize them 2-3 times per week for martial arts training and boxing drills. They are a little dull now but still look fairly new. My only current complaint is since there is no adjustment strap, and they are broken in and looser than before [they are not falling off my hand but] I have found that I need to adjust my grip inside of the mitts (cup the hands slightly) to make them conform to fit. But overall still very satisfied and pleased with the product.

Begeninner Or Intermediate Training Mits
These are best for beginner to intermediate use, other reviewers say that if you were to use these for heavy duty use or with serious fighting or training they would not be that good. I can see that, when I use this with people that I know it's very good for basic or intermediate punches. The slight curve of the mitt can also be used for basic kicking or leg strikes as well.A huge problem is that if you're a man with larger hands you would have to literally force and slip your hands into the glove, with some training mitts there's a Velcro strap that you can take on or off when putting on or taking off the mitts. Like a boxing glove itself, but these don't have that choice. You have to slip on and off the mitts, which can take a few moments.Even further is that it can be a bit tight for larger hands as well, small or regular sized hands have no real problem with sliding on or off the mitts. There's a small flap that can be pulled up or left down, we've done that basically to let the hands breathe when we really use the mitts to avoid sweat build up from making the wearer of the mitts too uncomfortable. For the price, the gloves are worth it. For the level of use, it's worth it. If you want training mitts to use, then buy these. If you want mitts to destroy, then buy something else.

Jab, Jab, Straight hand, Left Hook
These Mitts are great, and will say, these are some of the least expensive boxing Mitts some call (Pads) on Amazon that are made of high quality LEATHER. For those that are saying in the reviews, that they are too tight, and no grip inside, I don't get what your complaining about...you want punching Mitts to be tight, and as far as grip, I can surely feel the ball like padding in the center of my hands. I've been a USA boxing coach for 13 years now, I trained 4 sons with wins and invites local, regional, and National Levels, and if you have issues with getting these on, all you do is slip your hands in them and pound the mitt (pad) from the top to snug the hand in place, and once you have one hand inside just repeat with the other hand by pounding mitt or pad to pad until both hands are fitted with these great Boxing Mitts. Don't be afraid to pound the mitts, thats what they are made for (they can take a pounding), and not to worry about the material, because these are made from quality LEATHER nicely double stitched in the places they need to be. Just Buy them, and use the suggestions I mentioned above, and win some, matches, tournaments, perhaps Gold at the Olympics. ..now BOX.

If Thai Pads and Focus Mitts had an awesome baby...
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love these mitts! I was torn between buying Thai Pads to be able to hold for knees and kicks, and Focus Mitts just for punches, but these are the perfect middle ground! They’re super snug, but they’ll break in after a few sessions, I’m sure. It’s not an uncomfortable snug, just takes some work getting your hand into them. The wrist cushion allows you to take some serious power on strikes, and the pads are super thick. The real leather on these make them an incredible buy at this price point. I added video of my first session with them and will update if anything changes. Again, I absolutely love these mitts!

Thick Pads Great Quality!
These are the best focus mitts I have ever used or purchased. Very thick and can take a beating. Genuine leather, feels great in the hands. I will ever go back to my previous thin pads. Definitely get what you pay for. These should last a long time...I have only had mine for a few months, but they can take a beathing...Just wipe them down after a workout if you sweat a lot, to preserve the leather. Don't waste your time on junky vinyl ones. I totally recommend these. You will not be disappointed!

Good quality and well worth the price.
This is the second pair I have purchased. I teach a kickboxing class, and these take quite a beating. Over time they need to be replaced however their longevity of service is excellent for what they go through due to the robust quality.

Well made, affordable and fits my purpose
Bought the pads for personal use when I train with my training partners. We hit (punch, knee and kick with the instep) the pads fairly hard and mostly without gloves or foot/shin protection on, so it is important that the gloves are well-padded and able to take a reasonable amount of impact without being too rigid on the striker. So far, it seems to fit its purpose. The stitching also looks good so far. The leather feels thin but has held up well so far. The design of the pad makes it less tiring for the pad holder for long drills but it does get a bit slippery. For those intending to hit hard all the time, you may need to invest in something else. Otherwise, these are quite solid pads.

Excellent Focus Mits
I have ordered a few of these Meister elite products for use in MMA training. While these products don't quite hit the level of Cleto Reyes and other of the top manufacturers, they are still excellent. The price is exactly where it should be. The only feature that would have made these mitts better would have been an adjustable back strap for the hand. Other than that, I would recommend these focus mits.

Great value
Picked these up when one of my kids wanted to learn a little boxing. In the past I've only used my own trainers pads which were a little pricier then these (name brand leather). Didn't notice much difference quality wise and these seem like they will last well so no regrets getting these vs some of the cheaper ones around. They are pretty padded, in an ideal world id go with less at least when doing pad work with a 12 year old girl but for a heavier hitter might be welcome lol. Quite a bit of wrist support.

No adjusting strap
Comfortable pad but would of been nice to have a strap for adjusting for when hands get sweaty & slippery. With that said it not that bad. Would purchase again.
