This items, purchased from Amazon seller Syrinx, are listed as 40mm, which converts to a touch more than 1.5". In reality, they are much larger, and with the slotted sides that make them fit loosely, they are designed for even larger openings than their actual dimensions, which is more than 2.5" across. I can imagine a chair with a leg that is 3" wide, which is what it would have to be to have this fit. Too large for any dining chair I've seen, and too small for a table leg, these are useless. Also, be aware these ship from China and customer service from Syrinx post-order was nonexistent.

Well I bought this coffee table and it has nails in it on the feet of the table. I put in this sun room and I had to have a special floor for it and that is why I bought this product to same my floor and it seems to work but I also bought a rug to put under the table, I was just going to use the rug instead, but now with both I feel pretty sure the floor will be okay. Thank you

These chair leg caps are very good, with a caveat. They are well constructed very protective and innocuous. However, if your chair legs do not fit precisely within the measurements these probably will not be as helpful for you as more adjustable caps would be. For example, we tried this on one chair that I own and it worked perfectly yet on another one every time we move the chair the caps fell off. So, for certain chairs these are probably the best caps that I have ever used. For other chairs, these probably are not a good choice.I received this item in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

I'm completely done with putting adhesive felt on the bottoms of my chair legs. I've been doing it for over 20 years now, and the dang felt never stays on. The adhesive felt approach is simply not working for me.So I was excited to try these silicon caps. So far, they're working really well. They took a bit of getting used to for me, in terms of how they look, but I'm liking the performance.I'll post an update here if they start to break down or degrade over time. But so far, all is good on the bottoms of my chairs.I was provided a free sample in exchange for my honest review.
