I’m actually amused at the amount of reviews this product has stating how difficult and tricky even frustrating it is to set up? It is a absolute doddle! Hold button for five seconds select device from app and name device . I use it for my aquarium to automate skimmers,Co2 diffusion and water sterilisation device’s, I will make a point that for one of these to fail could be quite a big problem for me and after using four units for over a year now I’m happy to say these are extremely reliable great value and yes Easy to set up with a modicum of common sense!

As a technical specialist, I have purchased 20+ units as it makes my home automation easy and robust. Integration with our Apple Home platform presents a number of options and automation. From entering the home the system knows you are present and automates the devices you configure with the application scenes. It almost has you feeling like a tony stark as those connected devices either respond to Siri, Alexa and Google Home voice commands. Great Product and super easy to configure.

Product works well and connects to Alexa ok. However if using Virgin Superhub 3 disable 5GHZ wifi, leaving 2.4GHZ going (Superhub 3 has dual) else plugs have trouble connecting on setup. Once setup 5GHZ can be turned back on.Writing on setup instructions could also be larger as very tiny.

Easy to set up and use via the app. However, they - like all other smart plugs, operate on 2.4 GHz. I found a utube video showing how they could be made to work by finding the point (in my garden) where the 5Ghz gave up and 2.4 continued. ( 2.4 has a longer range than 5). It was a pain to do but I could then set them up. They are working well.

Update- 12.10.22. Software needed an update and the products stopped working. So I would reduce the star rating.Some great feature in that you can take a photo of the plug with the appliance so you know which appliance is being controlled in the app- easy way to label each plug.The app periodically glitches and stops working.I have my radio on a timer and can turn it off or on from my phone.Seasonally use a lamp to turn on at dusk - again I can control this via a timer set for different days of the week or I can control it via the app- however, the app is temperamental and doesn’t always work.I’m not sure whether I can set these plugs away from home using the app- I don’t know the distance of the range from which I can control it.

Once they were programmed it was quite easy to use, the hardest part was remembering to say "Alexa Kettle off" so you could say "Alexa, kettle on". I ask mine to insult me every time i say "HI ALEXA BURP" makes me smile and any visitors reactions are priceless.
