Was using it dry for a bit then added water. Adding water obviously made it stronger. It's not the strongest one but definitely a good one to start with. Lasts a good bit. Use it regularly during work and not even close to running out.

I work the night shift, and I bought this product to wake me up. It does the trick for about 10 minutes.

Original Review: I followed the directions and I think a capful of water is too much. I shook the bottle and it immediately began to leak white liquid everywhere. I have no idea how this has so many good reviews unless the product is inconsistent and I got a dead one. Will be trying other brands now.Update: I left this on my desk and it woke up over night. Very strong now. I would say try half a cap of water, put a plastic bag over the opening before screwing on the cap, shake well and wait a day. It’s been fine since. I think this may be an issue with instructions on the bottle not the actual product. Good luck.

Product came fast. Product was not what I was expecting. I wanted something to wake me up, and I feel like I'm just huffing the kitty box. Does nothing for me, no boost of energy, just a sniff of regret. He'll after your 3rd sniff you can't even spell the spearmint. I give you 3 stars. And that'd being generous.

Product did not come with a cotton ball. And doesn't explicitly say you need one. So I followed the instructions only to end up with a small clump of week smelling salts that hardly works one day after adding water. Being a first time user I didn't realize there was supposed to be a cotton ball, and only in small print on the back of the bottle does it says it's even supposed to have one. So I'm stuck with a bottle that does nothing and that I can't return.

Way stronger than I thought and that’s okay with me

I ordered these not really knowing what to expect. I've smelled smelling salts before many years ago and it was a strong ammonia smell. I got these to make me more alert on very long drives and they really do work with a strong ammonia/spearmint smell. I think the instructions say to put a capful of water in the bottle and shake it up then smell it. But I've found that you don't have to put a whole cap of water in to smell results, although you can and it might be even stronger. The important thing is to don't be scared, don't hold it away from your nose, you have to be close to reap the benefits. Hold it close, and take a whiff and it will get you going.

Activated w a cap of water per the instructions, shook it and waited. It works can’t lie and say it doesn’t but barely. I can hold my nose right to it and still doesn’t give me much. You get the ammonia smell but it’s not potent. I would save my money on this product and find a better one. Would return if it was allowed.
