Our old portable DAB was dying - only working when plugged in and no more battery power - and it was also a bit basic, so we wanted something new that we could use around the house and take away with us on trips. I went for this one, initially, on looks. I like the retro-styling - a bit like a Roberts radio - and the black / blue / silver colours. It also has FM, Bluetooth and an aux input, so pretty much does it all. It didn't disappoint, on arrival, and it's a really cute little unit. We took it away with us, last weekend, and - after running a quick scan / tuning check - we had loads of DAB stations with a strong signal, and FM reception was also good. The menu system, via the colour LED screen, and buttons are easy to use and this is a really good little unit.

DAB303 Looks like a Quality product.With controls on the top it is easy to navigate when sitting up in bed and your fingers can easily locate the buttons when lying down. The Dimmable screen does go dark thus not shining in your face. The sound is good, clear and not muffled. A useful USB outlet, on the back - and the rechargeable battery enables use around the house. Given these issues it is very good value for money for a well built product. The selection of many Menu options etc. follows a certain logic and is readily understood from the informative User Manual booklet (in clear English !).

Received the radio on Saturday but didn't plug it in until Monday. Very disappointing! The scanning didn't start on first use and there were a couple of stations already saved in presets. Had it already been used, returned as faulty and sent out to a new customer?Pressing the scan button, the radio scanned and stuck on 58%, locked up the entire radio so none of the other functions would work and the radio couldn't be turned off. It looked a nice radio in the picture but BEWARE!

It looks quite nice. Sound is just okay. Out of the box couldn't pick up any DAB stations. Bluetooth connected first time but disconnected itself after about a minute. Would not reconnect. Rebooted the device and it just bricked itself. No combination of button holding would turn it off. Had to wait for the battering to run out before getting it to start again. This is the first product that I am returning on Amazon after many years.

First impressions make you smile as its a bonny Radio, dressed up to the nines. Second impression is disappointing as the gloss starts to diminish as the Bluetooth ingredients let it sadly down, unable to connect a Bluetooth auxiliary subwoofer and the absence of nfc ingredient its impossible to enhance the sound quality. in addition there isn't a sleep delay for the radio. On the plus side, it does connect to my smart phone with Bluetooth but I cant connect my Bluetooth earphone as it isn't compatible with this type of accessory. the build quality and cosmetic appearance is good. one has to say its only average technology. I feel it would be expensive at the RRP. not bad for what I paid.

I've just updated my dab radio to this dab+ radio. I'm super impressed with the quality of the radio . . It picks up all the new stations . Also I do like its rechargeable. I thought it would be heavy as it had its own battery. I was surprised to how light it was .

I liked the style and the ease of access. However, it arrived sadly to say Faulty in that the display was half blanked out so that one could not see what was going on and thus could not tune it. I suspect it had been a returned radio that had somehow found its way back onto the okay shelf at Amazon. It arrived in an open box without the normal Amazon protection, I suppose I should have refused at the door, however, the benefit of the doubt kicked in! I have not replaced it with another. Am disappointed because I am sure that the radio would have been good were it in working order.

After many hours (in total) researching which DAB radio to buy, I ended up buying this (previously unknown to me) brand DAB/FM radio, bomaker. Some of the most well known brands I looked at had the lowest rated reviews. It seemed the only way to buy a well known brand radio that had the specification I needed, was to spend a lot of money! Well over my budget anyway. I therefore decided to take a risk and buy a brand I had not heard of before, but came in at roughly the right price and had good reviews, so chose the bomaker, and I'm very pleased to say I made exactly the right choice. Unless in very bright daylight, the screen is a good size compared to most other radios and you can clearly see the menus. The display tells you what song is currently playing. So many other DAB radios have a very small screen on the side of the radio, whereas the bomaker's screen is on top - which I personally prefer. It's so easy to set up and runs on rechargable batteries or the mains - and mains cable is included. I just love, love, love this radio.
