Brilliant piece of technology. Bargain.
This notepad is so easy to setup and use. All you need is to have your password for your WiFi .Switch it on:its ready to use once linked to the Internet. Don't understand how it can be sold at this price when basic mobile phones with no online connection are sold at a similar price. Long life battery. Don't have to open it up to install a SIM card. Excellent software that is presented on two basic pages. So you can't get lost in the applications. A click on the logo at the bottom of the page and you return to your place on your homepage. Enough memory already installed but you can use a memory card which is just placed in a slot. I AM 70+ and this was BOUGHT FOR ME to KEEP IN TOUCH with MY FAMILY and essential services. In case of an emergency you can even use the notepad as a phone without a sim being installed. ITS A BARGAIN........ excellent present for Christmas. Love and kisses to you all especially all Amazon staff. They have been a great help in 2020. Happy CHristmas.

Could be better
Delivery - Arrived well packaged and easy to set up.Device - However, it really needs more memory in order to function properly.Take care not to install too much on it as it really cannot handle multiple apps ( despite the quad core claims).Simple YouTube vids and streams seem to trip up every now and then - again, not something I’d expect on a device with a quad-core processor.Sturdiness - It’s robust enough, feels a little cheap but it seems sturdy enough for causal use.Battery life - mixed in my view. Some days it claims there is 2 days of juice left in it (following a full charge), some days it says only 1. On occasion I’ve left it alone for half a day following a full charge and it’s whittled down to 63% charge all by itself despite no one using it post-charge.Caution - This is the second Teclast device I’ve owned. The last one died after OS upgrade so I am wary of any OTA updates on their devices. One last grumble - what’s with the screen protector? I mean, it’s a nice gesture to give me a free screen protector and all, but whoever stuck it on the screen made an absolute pigs ear of it and I have bubbles all over the screen. Perhaps just include the screen protector for free and let the consumer apply it themselves next time.Overall - it’s a good size. If you are after a simple reader, causal internet user, watching short vids, not too bothered by picture quality and want a cheap device - this is probably it. If you are after something with better graphics capabilities for streaming or longer viewing I think you are going to have to look for something with higher specs.Other models I considered: Fire tablet - the numerous complaints about ads and difficulties installing own software put me off.Huawei - due to US sanctions, goggle related apps unavailable.Other Chines (China & Taiwan) brands - I did look at, but all were similar in specs, I went with Teclast as I had owned one before and sort of knew what to expect.

Decent budget Android tablet with some minor problems
My previous Android tablet was a Huawei Media Pad a top of the range budget tablet. It was well built and after several years had not fallen foul of the normal Android problems, but had simply become too slow. With Huawei having been hamstrung by Trump, the Teclast P80 seemed a good alternative. The build quality is pretty good and the screen bright and responsive. There a 3 minor problems that you should be aware of:1. The setup from old phone/tablet function fails in the latter stages. Not too serious as the vital info is copied OK.2. You get daily notifications that Teclast OTC needs updating, but after downloading as soon as you tap Install Now, you get an error. Don't know whether this update would be useful, but it works fine without it.3. Battery life is a bit disappointing, but not likely to be a problem unless you take it out without having recharged it first..Not bad for the price.

Lovely little tablet
I love this smaller tablet. I bought it because I found the 10" ones too heavy to hold (health reasons). It was very easy to set up - I did it myself with no assistance from a more tech savvy younger person. The screen is very clear and comes with a screen protector in place. The sound is very good. It is very tactile and feels very sturdy.I don't watch videos or TV on it so I couldn't comment on the battery life. It was fully charged when it arrived and I did all the setting up and played a game then read the news for a couple of hours no problem. The charging cable could be a bit longer is my only negative comment.

Worst tablet I've ever bought can't even turn it on
I liked that it was cheap but very expensive because it won't even turn on. I bought it for use as an e reader but it won't turn on so is useless.

A great cheap tablet
This tablet is better than you think. The screen is very bright and has a good enough resolution to use as a monitor for my Weebil S gimbal and GH5. The OS is recent enough to not give any issues with the Play store. The tech specs are not great but it is very usable. Great purchase and recommended.

Wolf in sheep’s clothing
While the specs of the device make for good reading. The reality is that the build quality and operation are very poor. The case is plastic and very crossly cut making the edges very sharp when you hold it. Could easily cut a finger.Performance is very slow for a machine of stated spec, takes an age to load even compared to the tablet I intended to replace with this. My old device was much quicker despite having half the hardware power in terms of processor and memory.Would certainly NOT recommend

Priced just right
Needed a tablet for our 2 year old, and this fitted perfectly, to start with had no bloatware you would usually Associate with this level of tablet, but boots fast and moves around fast and feels good it’s plastic but don’t feel cheep plastic ready fir Christmas
