Polly's Manu Mineral Perch for Parakeets, Cockatiels, Macaws, Amazons (X-Large)

I like the quality of the perch, the extra large size. My bird approves.

My Quaker likes this perch and it's perfect for beak and minerals also for his claws.

Been purchasing these perches for the last 4 years. My parrot loves them! My only complaint is that if you wash them they do get moldy. Aside from that detail is a great product

It was a little shorter than I'd expected; usable perch is more like 5 to 5.5in (think the measurement counts the screw) but the parrots absolutely love them... a little too much... they've chewed it down to the metal core and I'd had to buy more! Not complaining tho; a toy destroyed is a toy enjoyed

After researching what manu minerals were I knew I needed one of these for my recently rescued cockatiel and love bird. Put it in front of their mirror and put a cuddle bone on the cage to entice them to frequent the area. After 6 weeks they are finally using it...not only to admire themselves in the mirror but to forage the clay from it. Will be getting another soon and will look into the manu mineral blocks.

Missing hardware! No washer or bolt came with the perch to connect it to the cage.This was our second purchase and we love the product itself for our bird. Unfortunately, we do not have any extra parts lying around so it is a bit of an inconvenience.

Both my Macaw and cockatiel picked and licked on the Manu perch to start with. Now they just use it as a perch.One perch broke (cracked in shipping?) and left a dangerous metal rod exposed.We removed the entire thing and placed the broken piece on the ground for the birds to pick at. They enjoy picking at the holes in the Manu, so they must be getting some mineral benefit...maybe they were low on "this mineral" and after their initial fill of mineral, now they only want/need a little of it in their diets, as with any new food item, except fresh spinach, bananas, grapes and almonds...thier favorites!

My little Black Capped Conure loves this - especially when she is in season. We don't encourage laying, but mother nature doesn't care about that. That is why it is important to have a variety of calcium products in the cage and when laying, on her food, that we know she will use. This perch is her number one first choice!
