Gotta wonder: would the pictured 3M double-stick be better? (edited...)
Edit B: I ordered the Makita splinter-guard, and...nope. It's a bit too thick, very different material (rubbery), but honestly, it too doesn't have the kind of awe-inspiring adhesion you'd maybe expect from a Makita product.Since the edge-strips that came from Bora (including replacement) peeled off spontaneously, I'm back to looking for more other semi-permanent solutions.Edit: Amazon offered this helpful 'you might be interested in' item that I'd trust any day, sight unseen, over the crappy one from Bora: Makita 194419-4 118" Splinter Guard Replacement Strip , BlackNote that it's long enough to do the 100" Bora guid (more than twice the length of this item) and it's from Makita, who don't generally put crap out on the market.------------------------------------------------------------------As all other reviewers commented, the tape isn't capable of resisting the clockspring-tension working against the tape, coming from the silly zero-clearance strips.I got one of these to see if it would be better than the blue-backed no-name version that's provided with recent orders of the Bora system, because the photo shows a 3M tape, and 3M is usually the best one can get.Nope. Same blue-backed generic double-stick came with my replacement roll. The only hope is that keeping spring-clamps on the ends of these after securing them to my guides might - MIGHT - overcome the considerable spring-tension that is the byproduct of the mfr having foolishly wound the rolls of no-chip strip SO bloody tightly, apparently to minimize their size for packaging purposes.Of three of these strips thus far, all of them have curled right off, unless I've kept them clamped.Since Amazon cut me a huge break on the cost based on this defect, I'll keep them regardless of this Achilles' heel of a problem. I will certainly have to engineer my own zero-clearance strip replacements, because these things are essentially consumable, even when they stick perfectly. I'm thinking laminate strips with a better grade of double-stick tape might be about right, though they may be dangerously sharp-edged.

Does Not Stick
As with the other reviewers of this, the tape will not hold for more than a few minutes. Because it's stored and shipped all curled up, the plastic guide keeps wanting to go back to the curled shape and the adhesive on the tape isn't strong enough to hold it in place.

Does not stick well to the track. A stronger adhesive would be better
Does not adhere well to the track

Adhesive does not hold
The strip is a great idea as it makes accurate setting of the straight edge clamp easy. But, unfortunately, the adhesive that the company puts on there does not hold and the strip ends up curling up and off on the ends. The clamp is great once you learn how to set it with your particular circular saw. The "no-chip strip" is utterly worthless.

Doesn't Stick
The adhesive is to weak to overcome the coiled memory in the plastic strip. I've tried everything with no success keeping it adhered to the track.
