Brighter light.
Was very hard to get in my old 830 Bernina. But finally. Don’t give up trying. It is a very good light. Just as advertised. Much brighter than regular sewing machine lights.l would recommend.

lots of light, long lasting
bulb to base was very loose, I super glued it together so it could be inserted and twisted on with breaking internal connections

Durability questionable
Received two bulbs for this purchase. Construction: Look and feel solid, and well made. Light output: Appears to be dimmer than 40 W, no technical data to support this statement. Durability: After a couple of weeks, the light output deteriorated. Some of the micro light-emitting panels appeared to have burnt out. See photo above. Replaced with the second bulb, and all micro panels are working. See second photo above. Unsure how long the second bulb will be good.

Superior illumination to original lamp
I used this lamp as a replacement for a Super 8 film viewer. It makes the screen image brighter than the original incandescent lamp. The illumination is incomparable.

Good Replacement for Original Incandescent Bulb
Perfect fit in my wife’s Singer qnd now we have an extra as it was a two pack. Might not ever need to other one? Only time will tell.

Works as anticipated but
not as bright as I expected. Certainly not as bright as the 35 w tungsten halogen bulb being replaced, even though the claim is "Equivalent to 40W Halogen" Bulb was actually 3/16 inch shorter than specified in the description. That's good news because otherwise it would have been a very tight fie.
