I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of this bucket. I got it for a single purpose, but I imagine it will come in VERY handy for a lot of things

first impressions: holds about 4 gallons, which is not 5 gallons, but which i figured before buying and am fine with. 5 full gallons in a collapsible soft-sided bucket would probably be unmanageable anyway.i travel remote public lands and campgrounds fulltime and for years have been using a black 5 gallon bucket to fill, cover, and set in the desert sun. i use the warm/hot water for a variety of things, from washing a dirty dog blanket, to a few clothing items, to dishes, to dropping a 12 volt pump in to shower the dog or wash my hair. i figured this black collapsible bucket with a black lid might serve the same purpose without taking up nearly the same space. but we'll see over time if it 'can take the heat'.for now, i filled it easily, it held it's shape, zero leaks after leaving it sit for awhile. the first pic of this bucket and my traditional 5 gallon bucket show this bucket full of water. lid surprisingly fits fine, will of course not be leak-proof, but helps contain the water while you carry. (the last pic shows that the lid actually fits a standard 5 gallon bucket.) handles are solid, make the full bucket easy to carry. be sure to rinse well before first actual use because there were a lot of white fibers floating in the water before i rinsed it out.if you're going to buy a collapsible bucket, be sure to get one like this that has a solid rim. many for sale have no wire around the top, which common sense says would be a dumb idea.i'll update over time to let you know if this thing fails or succeeds in serving my purpose.

We have this in our car all the time. We use it for just about everything. Take it to the pool to carry all the pool toys, the river to house fish and wet clothes. Love how handy it is and doesn't take up any space at all.

Feels strong but the bucket is small.

I bought this for keeping ice cold and for keeping water out of the large soft-sided cooler I carry. The thick material keeps ice for days, though I have not yet tested it in hot weather.

First things first, this is the absolute best bucket out of all the options out there, hands down, I went throught them all, this one doesn't have an odor, doesn't have toxic materials, holds its shape, this is the best, really amazing.Having said that, they did the most baffling thing when they put a handle on the lid. The handle coming from the bottom part is great, I love it, but I couldnt understard why they would put a handle on the lid. Its supposed to be a lightweight camp/backpacking bucket, lets save weight here and remove that useless + heavy lid handle (I just cut it off btw).1) You can't lift the whole bucket from the lid handle obviously, since there is nothing connecting the lid to the bucket.2) If you want the lid off then you take it off just like you put it on, from the sides, since there is nothing holding the lid in place its easy to just "peel it off".I would give 5 stars if it didn't have a handle on the lid because after cutting it off there is still some fabric material i'm unable to cut off without causing damage. So there is still some useless weight i'm unable to get rid of. Otherwise amazing work guys, really, I love this thing and would recommend it over any other bucket at the moment.

Easy to collapse and restore to carry shower water to garden during drought. Handy lid.
