The Pure Raw Acacia Honeycomb set is very nice and would make a great gift for your favorite honey lover. The small wooden spreader is a keeper even when the honey is gone. The flavor of the honey itself was perfect and the honeycomb was a fun piece of nostalgia. Fun to chew and spit out. The acacia honey is truly delicious! So sweet and it's the perfect consistency. The kit is nice. There was a tiny bit dripping out of the edges but it didn't make a mess. Would get again.

Two Christmases ago, my teenage child asked me for a honeycomb. I searched the stores for one. It was not easy to find. I saw it was on sale at one of my favorite local chain grocery stores. I couldn't find it even after asking a salesperson to help me. I settled for a honeycomb that was fine but the packaging was lacking.This honeycomb by Savannah Bee company is everything I could want. It comes in an attractive box that opens to a plastic container of honeycomb and honey. The container has tape around the sides so the honey can't leak out. This is perfect for gift giving. There is a paper for serving suggestions. It comes with a wooden small knife.The honeycomb is about 4.5 inches x 3.5 inches.There is a good balance of honeycomb and a good balance of honey. This isn't like the honeycomb I find at the local discount store where it is a little piece of honeycomb floating in a ton of honey.This is raw honey.To take a taste: the honeycomb is delicate. It cuts easily with the wooden knife. Taking a bite, it is delicious. I love how the honey bursts from the honeycomb while eating it. The honey is sweet. It is a very delicious honey. It is very basic in flower flavor. This is the kind of honey I can serve on anything without a floral profile interfering. (I have had this happen while making bread. A different floral honey changed the flavor profile.) The honeycomb is of course waxy. It reminds me of those wax lips I use to love when I was a kid.There is also enough honey, that it can be used for recipes and for teas and such.Perfect for gifting. Perfect for charcuterie. Perfect for just myself.

My husband and I did not care for this honey. It is very mild, and the honeycomb tasted like wax candy. I also had a reaction to it, which, after research, I found can happen with raw honey because it has pollens in it. I did not deduct a star for that, just though it should be mentioned. Overall, this was not for us

We’re not used to having the honey comb included and eating this plain takes a bit of getting used to because of the included wax. However, pairing this with cheese (we used Tillamook Extra Sharp White Cheddar) and dried cranberries was a hit with the entire family. We loved the complex flavor of the acacia honey and we think we’d get used to the texture of the wax eating it plain; however, that isn’t necessary, since the texture of the wax fades into the background when you pair this with cheese and fruit. Absolutely delicious. Very pleased with the flavor and quality of this Pure Raw Acacia Honeycomb by Savannah Bee.As the parent of kiddos with autism, there are causes near and dear to my heart. Attractively presented in a sturdy box the 12.3 ounce honeycomb is contained in a well-sealed plastic container so after opening it has a place to be safely stored. A product of Hungary, the honeycomb is delicately thin so it is easy to consume and an enclosed card provides instructions and suggestions for serving. The raw unfiltered acacia honey is mild flavored which makes it a good choice in a variety of applications whether added to tea or used to top a brie wheel or smeared on a piece of warm bread.If unfamiliar, Acacia honey crystalizes slower than other honeys so it resists solidifying for a longer period extending its shelf-life. It is also lighter in color and more delicately flavored than the more common deep amber wildflower honey. To estimate shelf-life at the time of this review in September 2021 the Best By date is 15 months in the future but dates will vary. Included is a wooden knife/spreader. Delicious.
