Ripped
The original ripped in 3 years. This one ripped in 2 years. The cold weather just helps it rip faster. It was great while it lasted but I am going with an aftermarket part that is softer and has a lifetime warranty on it.

Much Higher Quality than the Factory Hose
The factory version of this was clearly a different material. It had broken down on my GF's car enough that after ~50k miles when I went to replace the air filter, it ripped after a slight bend. I was able to tape it back up with a lot of duct tape until this new part arrived.I'm glad to see they realized they chose the wrong material and improved it with a new part number. This fits a 2013 Chevy Sonic Hatchback with 1.8L engine for sure, probably the entire 2012-2016 model year range (not sure if they will change it in 2017) in both Hatchback and Sedan.

Perfect fit
This duct was a perfect fit for my 2012 Chevy Sonic. My car started running poorly, and the check engine light came on. I checked the code reader and it was code p0171. I changed the air filter but it persisted. I them looked closer and saw my duct was cracked in multiple places. I ordered this replacement, installed it, and it is like I have a new car. The material of this replacement seems to be much more durable as well
