It’s a Mora…
Time for a new Mora. It’s a no frills cutting edge. The cutting edge/blade is good quality Swedish carbon steel. It sharpens easier than stainless steel, can be used with flint to strike tinder and will last for years with simple maintenance. The sheath it came with is now a composite material, pierce proof, with a riveted leather belt loop. I acquired a leather sheath for using my new Mora as a neck knife(I like to keep a good blade handy on my person when going off grid, another packed away as contingency). The handle is simple and wooden with no finger guard(using good knife technique mitigates getting cut) and feels good in hand. Morakniv is a time tested, simplistic cutting tool, useful for general cutting and finer carving. It is perfect for the purpose it serves for a knife it’s size. My Mora is my go-to general work blade on the trail or at camp. Even if it becomes a field loss, a replacement doesn’t cost a fortune.

Amazing knife
Morakniv makes amazing knives especially at their price. This knife came out of the box razor sharp is easy to sharpen and maintain. I take this on all of my camping trips.

Less of a value than it used to be.
It's nice, bought it because of the hype, it's clearly stamped and cut out which is fine, mine has two little voids on the blade, not worth returning but with inflation this knife doesn't quite represent the amazing value it used to.

Classic Design and Function
Morakniv Blades are extremely well made. Swiss and Scandinavian blades, companies like Victorinox, and Morakniv have done fantastic work with a multitude of styles, all with the same underlying quality and durability that make them special. This particular design is iconic: the wooden bulbous handle... a symbol of "that knife" carried for those times falling between extreme bush craft and something stuck in "that draw" lol. This is a knife that will serve one well to rock on the daily. The blade is well sharpened, somewhat resistant to corrosion (Carbon Steel) though not water proof, and quite sturdy. I personally would rather have a sharp well crafted Carbon steel blade than a very dull and blocky Stainless Steel blade. This is a fantastic knife at any price point.

Easy to use.
A very nice little knife and cheap enough that I don't mind actually using it. The only drawback is that I had to file the Spine Square so that it would strike a spark. Not a big deal but would be great if it came that way in the first place.

Great knife. Functional sheath.
I’ve got some plastic handled Morakniv blades but wanted something with more character. This “new” classic has gone back to full rat tang instead of an epoxied partial tang. They have a nice stain on the handles and appear to be lightly tumbled giving them some patina and a nice feel. The back of the blade is ground clean instead of leaving the rough edge left by the press as many of their designs have.I would have paid another $20-$30 to get a leather sheath. I appreciate that the plastic one is very functional and has been around for a while but I bought this knife because it’s not plastic.Razor edge as you would expect from Morakniv.
