RYOBIP411 ONE+ 18-Volt 5 in. Cordless Random Orbit Sander (Tool-Only) by Ryobi

I really like having the convenience of a wireless, battery powered sander, because I invariably need it to do a job that requires some maneuvering, across the yard, or behind the house. Being able to just grab the sander and do a job without worrying about finding a close enough plug and extension cord is wonderful.I've already put about 20 hours on it in a very short time. I've even been using it with buffing pads to polish and wax my car. The results are amazing. I would absolutely recommend this as a buffer, with 5 or 6 inch felt backed buff pads.It does chew through batteries pretty fast. My original 1.5 Ah battery last only about half an hour, but I have a 5.0Ah aftermarket battery that goes for about 3 hours of consistent use.It's probably not as powerful as a higher amp or wired sander, but for small jobs, its the best of all options.

Quiet and not to heavy. Low cost and does the job.

Purchased 10 days ago, because I already have batteries for this sander. Got to test sander for first time and I am very happy with its performance. I only do small projects and this sander fits my needs perfectly. Don't thing it would be feasible for larger projects where lots of sanding is required, but its perfect for my use. Would recommend for light duty sanding use.

The battery pack sticks out the back so when working on a flat surface, with larger Ryobi batteries, it has a tendency to flip back and gouge the surface with the edge of the sandpaper. Be very careful. The battery life is really short as well. It drains the Ryobi batteries faster than any other tool I've seen, in 5-10 minutes depending on battery size.As long as you keep a firm hand on it and keep it moving, the results are excellent. I refinished and entire dining room table with this sander alone as my only tool and it came out great. Cheap too, as long as you're in the Ryobi ecosystem. The bag to catch dust is surprisingly effective, but it needs to be emptied constantly because it's so small. This tool is really for very small projects.

The sander has great quality and very quiet , also charges quick and has several cool adjustments Collects dust fast and size is perfect! Battery last forever! I would highly recommend!

This sander has been a godsend to us, we are remodeling a house, it has gotten used for hours and hours. It does go through the batteries, but I know it's because it's pulling a lot of energy. It's very easy to use and really does a great job sanding. It's round so it's not a corner tool, but I have another one for that. The ONLY thing I dislike or am unimpressed with the design of is the dust catcher. It needs a latch on there or a way to screw it on. It flies off all the time and makes a mess.

Dust collector works better than i thought it would, easy to handle, very effective

Bought this to sand down large spackled section of drywall wall, and refinish some old wood furniture. Works as expected. I’ve used this multiple times totaling several hours of operation and does what I need. I’ve never used another sander so I cannot speak to the difference in size or weight versus others. What I can say is it was not taxing to use. Battery lasts about 30 mins for my regular battery and my higher capacity battery runs over an hour.

Am pleased with all the Ryobi products I have so far.They work well and consistently.I like that I. An buy quality knock off batteries for much less than OEM.Good products for what and how I use them.

Funciona perfectamente, hace el trabajo super bien, pero gasta la pila con mucha facilidad. Hay que tener en cuenta usarla con una bateria potente de 4amp minimo.

Caveat emptor! To start, this product is 'compatible' within the One+ cannon BUT requires a 4.0ah battery which is somewhere between £75 and £86 extra, otherwise the running time is 10 minutes with a charging time of 3 plus hours on the standard battery. The current 4.0ah batteries on sale are not compatible with this model. I have no idea why there are so many good reviews as, without a battery, this thing is a white elephant of epic proportions. I can't return mine as I have used it, so now I have a very expensive piece of junk. Can't tell you how thrilled I am about that. And don't get me started on Ryobi 'customer services' all I got was "Oh yeah, I deal with this issue ALL the time" and "I hear where you're coming from" - really? seriously? All-in-all, beware of believing the hype about this system being interchangeable, whilst it has the basics of a good system, it's actually just a huge number of tools with a huge number of batteries needed to go with each one.
