CEPUnisex Ortho+ Achilles Brace w/Compression to Support Injured Achilles Tendons, Joint Pain, & Discomfort

The truth: if you want your Achilles to heal, you have to stay off your feet.The other truth: if you're a real runner, you know that this is an unbearable prospect. (Real runners aren't measured by the miles they log. They're measured by how willing they are to grind their bodies into dust so that they can get just one more run in ;)Overtraining has led to some swelling and pain in my Achilles. I've been using this brace for a couple of weeks, and the compression does seem to help with the swelling, esp. when coupled with vitamin-I and occasional icing. I had to get used to the constraint, and still move around as if my foot were free, so the pain relief isn't always there-- I'm not hurting, but I am well aware that I have significant compression on my foot / ankle. If you can ignore that feeling, and you need tendinitis relief, this should work well.

This brace provides excellent support for anyone who has suffered a torn Achilles. I have seen lots of questions about what size to order. I went to the manufacturer website and obtained the information I needed. I was right on the cusp of needing the next size up and that’s what I ordered and it fits perfectly So if you’re in doubt go up a size. . Most highly recommend

I really should give this product a 5 star review. It, along with this  Plantar Fasciitis, Achillies Tendonitis HD Night Splint by Ortho Depot Lg/XL  night brace helped stop my terrible foot pain. I wore this CEP brace everyday for roughly a month and used the above brace at night, every night for several months. Which is why I went with the four star review. After a month of wearing this CEP brace daily, it started breaking down. I'm a big guy, was around 270 at the time and my size in this brace also shows that I'm not a normal-sized person. I had to get the size VI. The compression points were not giving me the support they were when I first got it and I had only had it for around a month. Still, I believe that near-month really helped my foot. Being a healthy 270, former athlete, just over 40, I would recommend this to anyone experiencing that sharp pain in your heel(s), up around the ball of your foot, in your arch too. It is, however, relatively expensive for something that only lasted for a month. It's still worth it, but just know if you're a bigger person, you might need to buy a second one for back-up. I pushed through the days by wrapping a compression sleeve around my foot, while continuing to use the night brace. They work very well together. It took me around 5-6 weeks to see the pain (in the mornings) go completely away. So, here's hoping it doesn't flare back up again or I'll be back ordering another one of these.

About 4-5 years ago I was having sharp Achilles pain while playing soccer and purchased this item while also doing PT. It allowed me to continue playing soccer as the sharp pains eventually disappeared, and I never played without this, wearing it under my sock.Fast forward to last week and I ruptured my OTHER Achilles tendon, the one where I had not experienced any problems or discomfort, and never braced - but the wear and tear under the surface is real, and eventually led to a full rupture.I just bought this brace again as my old one is starting to fall apart, and my braced-foot (which undoubtedly has a very worn tendon) is going to need strength to support my surgically repaired leg.If you are having any Achilles-related items and want to maintain your physical activity, you NEED this. And if I had a crystal ball I would have worn them on both feet to avoid what I'm going through now.

Highly Recommended Achilles Brace!I have a high standing/walking retail job and my Achilles tendinitis had been acting up and was getting really bad for 3 weeks straight. I was pretty skeptical of this brace but I was ready to try anything so I could get back to playing sports. It actually works pretty well, my Achilles still hurts a little near the base when I wear it but the intense pain in the middle of my Achilles is gone. It seems relatively sturdy material and I expect it to last me at least a year.

Found it via a YouTube video. It doesn't work right away, but it does work. Took about three or four times using it, and now feel that it helps tremendously. Will be buying more.

This has been a lifesaver in my recovery from Achilles tendonosis, very happy with this product.
