Adorable, beautiful book
It is so interesting, and so wonderfully illustrated, just right for a 3 or 4 year old, but it is very delicate and can be easily torn up. Love it, just please be careful and gentle!

Little Bit of Oomph
Child was interested in other books rather than the little bit of oomph book. Still a great story to read.

A Wonderful Book
I read the Oomph book and the Oops book to my granddaughters at night, and it has become their favorite nighttime read. Most impressive is that the meaning of these books, when used together, has become important. When one of them spills something or makes a mistake, even they now say "Let's turn this oops into an oomph." I have even started to use that thought with adults! I am pleased to be able to say Thank You to Saltzberg.

flaws in craftsmanship
The first copy of this book that I received had pages--ones that weren't supposed to be--glued together. The second copy had smudges on some of the white and a wheel that is supposed to turn, which in the second copy is wonky so that the words aren't legible. It's a cute idea, but there is a lot to a little book with flaps and such and the execution has been sloppy in the 2 copies I received.

Lovely book to inpire children (and adults)
A lovely book but lower rating as one of the flaps was completely missing except for a line of brownish glue.

Planned Obsolescence - But We Love it
Our kids love these books but they destroy them. Everything is easily ripped out. We just keep buying new ones. This one and his other book are a lot of fun. Our kids enjoy reading these, turning the pages, and saying the words. They're also thoughtful and well written.

Good, but not as Good as Beautiful Oops
It's hard to follow such an awesome/incredible/creative book as Beautiful Oops (Saltzberg, 2010). This book does a fair job, and is still much better than the average children's pb. But to me it was a bit of disappointment: similar concept to Beautiful Oops but not as powerful or creative.

A great positive message for kids of all ages
My girls love the interactiveness of the book, and the message is a great one - Things can be good, and things can be great; all it takes is that tiny little something extra we all have inside!

Great board book but difficult to read to a class as interactive book.

My daughter and I absolutely love this book and the message behind it
My daughter and I absolutely love this book and the message behind it. It's really great and fun to read. However, many of the flaps and pop up pieces have fallen off or ripped and it happened rather easily. We have had the book for only a few days and I already have quite a big stack of "to be glued" pieces that have come off of the book.

**Beautiful Art book with a powerful messsge***
This book was purchased for my eldest son (10) who suffers with dyslexia.Over the years he has lost his confidence.Already owning 'Beautiful oops' (also by Barney Saltzberg) and seeing the positive impact it had on him. I searched near and far for 'A little bit of oomph.' I was a little apprehensive ordering, due to me requiring delivery to the UK.However it arrived earlier than expected, (7 days after dispatch) well packaged with no signs of damage.(Please see photos)My son is delighted with it.Through Art this book teachers children not to give up, give their all and that everyone has the potential to make things beautiful.I am a mum of 4 children. (2 boys & 2 girls)I would recommend this book for all ages.
