Great product for Scoring Card Stock paper
I needed something to scor the center of the heavy card stock that is being used for retailing my product. I did not know anything about scoring and did some research. I decided on the Scor-It mini because my retail card was small and the Scor-It Mini looked to fit exactly what I needed and it did.Just a note about what you get and what was described."This package contains one 7-1/2 by 9-1/4in board with a reversible ruler for-inch and metric"But what I got was a ruler that was not reversible. I believe I got an older design with a wooden scor tool. It didn't bother me at all. I could use inches as well as metric, but if you are expecting a ruler that can do both, the description is in error. Otherwise, the Scor-It Mini does the job right and saves me a lot of time.

I want to send this back
I want to send it back but I cannot because I didn't save the packaging. This is unlike any scoring board I've ever seen and I cannot figure out how to use it. You all make think its simple, but my brain doesn't understand it. So if it works for you, great, but it was an absolute waste of money for me.

Not as descibed.
The description clearly states that it comes with a reversible ruler, metric and inches, but it does not. Not only is it not reversible, it is in metric, which is fine for those who want metric. I need inches. This board is no longer made and I thought I would pick up a spare as it is a great little board. Unfortunately for me, not very useful. After doing some research, it appears that the latest version of this tool does have a reversible ruler and a new and improved scoring tool. This version has neither. If it was only in inches I would have bought it anyways. If it had stated metric, I would not have bothered.

Handy Tool
It is different from other scoring boards I have used. It is the opposite of the molded plastic ones. But, so far I am liking it. It's a nice heavy plastic with a rubber base. And it was a fantastic price! As other reviews have said, the ruler is not reversible. You either get a metric one or an inches one.I ordered this because it said it was Metric. I did not get metric, I got inches. I do some projects in metric (mostly ones that involve origami paper) and was hoping to finally have a metric board, because the metric molded plastic ones are very expensive compared to the inch ones.I will keep this though, because it does have 1/16ths markings, which is very handy as the molded ones do not have them. I can also put down some metric tape or get a thin metric zero centering ruler and "make" it metric.

It's simple but it does its job
I just need it for some design projects for my classes. It is a simple tool and easy to use. It comes with instructions

Too tiny
Yes it’s a mini board but the size given doesn’t account for the 1 inch ruler at the top. Not tall enough to score a 7 inch card.

Does not live up to the hype
I saw the scor-it mini on craft shows and felt it was just what I needed. NOT It slips when scoring and I cannot achieve a straight score. The ball chain gets in the way and it is of no use on any score larger than the 6 x 9 surface area. It might work for greeting cards, but I work with larger paper sizes. In retrospect, I should have gotten the larger scor-it, but it was twice the price. In the meantime, it is back to my $5 bone folder, which works beautifully! :)

The scoring works nicely, measure anchor a little clunky
I'm using this scoring board to do mock ups for print projects. I need to know exactly how a given paper is going to behave when you fold it with a proper mechanical score. Having worked with proper letterpress scoring blocks, I can attest that this board creates a very similar quality fold. It's no big surprise though, you wouldn't want to do a lot of production scoring with it as it requires a little attention and care to do correctly, but it does the job for most home purposes. I've been scoring 12 pt gloss stock which is very heavy card -- no home printer could print on this paper -- and it does fine. The only thing I don't care for is the scorer's little steel guide which you have to unscrew from its position and screw back down to its new measure. There are guides on most paper cutters which are simply stiff to move which work far easier and are faster to reposition. You don't have to use the guide though to use the scoring pad, you only need it if you require precise positioning like I do.
