Needed a new power plug for my radar detector and this one does the job!

This works perfectly for the Whistler 1580 radar detector. I purchased it because of the power button. I like that the barrel connector also has an indentation to keep it locked in place.The barrel connector sleeve is OD: 3.5mm, ID: 1.35mm, Length: 11.7mm and Polarity: positive center for any that are interested.

My original power cord for my radar detector went bad, so I looked up some replacement options and decided on this one. It has worked well and I really like the ability to keep it plugged in and just hit the button to turn it on and off. No issues and would get again.

I wanted a cord that has a on/off button where I didn’t have to keep reaching way up on my dash to turn my radar detector on/off or didn’t have to keep unplugging it each time. I have a Uniden radar detector & this cord works with it. It’s perfect. Just plug it in & keep it plugged in & just have to push the on/off button simple as that. Only thing I wished they’d change is to not make it light up, they could do away with the red light but it’s not a big deal I’m just happy I can push a button to power on/off without having to unplug it everytime.

This product was great while it lasted. I bought this in June and it's now October and the cord has already shorted out.

I love the feature of just pushing the button now to turn my detector on and off. It lights up when on, which I also like. nice cord length.
