If you're looking for a replacement battery for that old controller get this one. It's super easy to install and has good battery life.

Bout a PS4 pro from GameStop. The controller would die from a full charge withing 45 minutes. Replaced it with this battery and now it last a couple of days between charging.

If you are like me you have had a ps4 for years and your controller battery life is terrible. The new consols drop soon and you dont want to buy new controllers so you thought to replace the battery. Well at least for me when i searched amazon for batteries they all had super sketchy or seemingly fake reviews. I felt like i was taking a chance on buying batteries but this one at least didnt seem fake. I bought 2 and was very happy to find they work great. They both came fully charged and last a good while and charge pretty quickly as well. My only kinda grip if you can call it that is it doesnt quite fit the old battery slot. This battery is smaller and so i worried it would be loose. When i put my contoller back together i gave it a good shake to see if i could hear or feel the battery moving freely inside the controller and it didnt from what i can tell. maybe buy some double sided tape if you are worried about that. These are only for the old style controllers with the giant light bar on the back of the controller NOT ON THE TOP OF THE TOUCHPAD

I'm writing this review because I can't be the only one with the problem I ran into. The last battery I bought from another listing did not even charge, I basically had to have the plug attached to the controller to use it. If you install a replacement battery and it will not charge then it is definitely the battery that has died beyond the point of that "initial spark" of voltage it needs to charge safely.TL:DR Buy another battery pack if your 1st one doesn't charge.

I ordered replacement batteries for ps4 controllers.. the plug is wrong... unhappy to say the least.. wanted my time and money

These batteries worked great as replacements for my aging controllers. The old battery wouldn’t last more than 3-4 hours off the charger, and now I’m getting 2+ days of use. The new battery is slightly smaller than the original, but they put a piece of double stick tape with it to hold it in place, no biggie. Just make sure you get the right battery according to your controller model # and you’re golden so the connector fits!
