Nice size torch and very sturdy, not to mention great features.

A sturdy little torch with two intensities of white light, a white doppler light (hold the button down a little longer to get that) and a UV light. It comes with a useful carrying pouch that will fit on your belt or bag.UV light is useful if you use security markers for your property. You mark everything with your postcode or whatever, with a UV marker and then if by some miracle the police actually recover your property you can identify it. Of course, the thieves probably have a torch like this and can find the mark and remove it, so I put a large mark, as a sort of decoy, and a tiny one in a less obvious place. Also, if you think someone is trying to sell you stolen goods, you can use this to see if they have been marked. The police have used torches like this for a long time and you may find it useful. Other things show up in UV light, like certain drugs.The USB connector that you use to charge it is rather unusual. As you see from the product description, it is at the bottom, with a screw cap cover. There is no wire; you simply plug the whole thing in. It works fine for me, as I have a gang switch I can plug it into. But make sure it's convenient for you.I can see no quality problems with it so, read the description carefully and if you think this would be a handy thing to have, go for it.

I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme. This is a solidly made torch at a reasonable price featuring both white and UV light. The different lights are operated by a dual-switch button, a good idea which means not having to work through a menu or series of functions. The UV light is effective: I collect Uranium Glass, a type of glass manufactured in the first half of the 1900's which is mildly radioactive due to uranium being used to create it's yellow-green colour, it fluoresces under UV light. I tested the UV light on this torch on my collection and was surprised at the strength of reaction: it certainly works!The torch is rechargeable by means of the USB "A" plug in the tail cap rather than a cable. A red light is shown when it is charging, which turns to blue when fully charged. The tail cap is also magnetic.The white light is switchable through high and low power and a strobe option is available. It's output is good enough, not up there with torches costing four times the price (you wouldn't expect it to be..) but strong and useful in a work environment.It comes with a black nylon belt holster of decent quality.Currently retailing at £20.50, this torch offers all the necessary features with the plus of having a UV light to hand, it's well made and should last years. 5 stars.

This is a really good little torch that's well made and quite heavy duty with its metal outer and secure screw on magnetic lid over the charging point.Its 14cm long and just under 3cm in diameter so small enough for a pocket but still big and bight enough to be useful.The rubber button on the top has one option for the main light which is on bright, slightly less bright and hold down for a flashing light, the main light is really good and perfect for evening walks, dark cupboards or under car bonnets, the other switch is for the UV light which while i am not sure when i will use it i like the extra function being there.The other end of the torch has a very strong magnet that is perfect for holding the weight of the torch at any angle (the torch does have some weight to it), a strap for going round your wrist or hanging on something and the end also is the cover for the charging point, its a great idea to have a rechargeable torch to save on batteries but the way it charges is via its built in USB A style connector which mean you have to plug the torch in to something to charge and because of its weight i am not sure wall sockets are a safe idea as show in the last two pics and it wont go in the side of my laptop without it being up in the air a bit. I would have preferred a cable to plug in.While it is charging the last picture just about shows the red light it has but its mostly blocked by whatever you are using to charge it.The case it comes with is quite rough and ready with a velcro opening and then on the back it has a plastic D ring on the top, below that a velcro strap to attach round something and along with that a looped opening for going on a belt etc. Its nice to have good protection for your torch if you are out and about.Overall aside from the charging issue its a really good torch and a great price so i am still very happy with it.If you have found this review helpful, please hit the helpful button as this inspires me to write more.

Impressed with this torch. As a normal torch it throws out an impressive amount of light without having flick through a number of pointless flashing option to get to what you want. The normal switch action is High, Low and off. There is flash option if required by holding the switch down for a while. A great function for policing is the second switch that provided a UV light which can be be used for checking documents which have UV security marks such as driving licences.It is easy to carry on a uniform belt in the solid webbing holder provided. The holder itself has been well thought out with one closed belt loop, a second belt loop closed by velcro and a plastic D ring for hanging. I particularly like the charging option which does not require a cable as taking a cover off the closed end of the torch reveals a USB plug. This will plug straight into a normal USB charger or laptop but not sure I would want to charge it from a laptop. I can see times when plugging straight into a charger may not be practical but a USB extension cable solved that.Overall this is a solidly made practical torch which is easy to use and easy to charge.If you find this review helpful please click the 'helpful' button so I know I am not wasting my time.
