Max and the Midknights: Battle of the Bodkins (Max & The Midknights)

My 7 year old son was pumped to get and read this book. It is silly enough and the right balance of a challenge to read while going along with pictures to keep things interesting. In addition, several of the silly jokes are not as "bad examples" as the one in the wimpy kids series that he also enjoys.

Great series for 8 year old boy

My 7 year old read this book in a single day. I got him the first three books in the series (which is all that was available when I ordered). He loved the books and started over with the first one as soon as he finished the third. It was a great distraction for a long car ride this summer.

I love Max and The Midknights! And at the end of the book when Max met Mary?That part blew my mind!I absolutely love love LOVE your books, Lincoln Peirce! And along with Big Nate!

This series has been a huge hit. My son read them in a week and has started on them again for the second time. He is getting to be very expressive when he reads as well.

It's a book that I've been following for years and the writer Lincoln Peirce always gives me a good chuckle. It's a good book right after you read the first one. If you didn't read the first one it may not make sense so be sure to read the first one to understand what's going on. Overall the book came in great condition no scuffs, scrapes, bends, and rips.

My 8 year-old son loves Max and the Midknights, and I enjoy reading the books too!!This second book in the series does not disappoint, the author manages to keep up the original vibe, and the ending already hints at exciting revelations in the 3rd part.

My son has read both Max and the Midinght Books. The first one at 5 years of age and the second at 6. He has not only read them, but reread them multiple times. He loves to read books of all kinds, but this definitely topped off the list. I could hear him giggle out of the other room and my husband decided to read them for himself. He loved it too!
