Had to wait for my mom to test this thoroughly, as I rarely use curling tongues - I am more of a straighteners and crinklers, my daughter is into curling her hair, but her hair is sooooooooooo healthy, it literally has a life of its own on her head and potentially developed intelligence or something, so her experience would not allow for a full picture of whether this device is worth the money you are asked to pay!My mom, however, lives with a pair of curling tongs in her hair al the time, I'd say, as her hair is short and thin, like spider net thin, and she is forever complaining that without a load of hair lacquer sprayed onto strands, PRIOR to using the curler, the hair just flops back and does not hold shape, BUT because of the hair lacquer, her hair sticks to the tongues and burns! So, this was put through the test of thin hair, ocean of lacquer and an old grumpy lady who does not like anything by default!How do I put it... I no longer have this device in my house, as apparently I will buy myself another one ( as you do) and this is the first curler that does not burn her hair, so she is keeping it....yeah...about that...So, I'd say it is well worth the 30 quid you have to pay for it! LOL!

Quite heavy and gave my hair no lift at all. Probably better to straighten frizzy hair but not straight fine hair. I wasted my money.

Used to have one ages ago, so I thought I will give myself a new look and a chance for this curler.As my previous curler was long time ago, I can’t really compare it like I am sure many women would. For me it fit the purpose for now. The price is ok if it gives me some years of use. It may be a small bit heavy as the spring is fairly strong, so at times it might feel like a little work-out (after more usage, my left arm will surely get stronger than the left one). Other than that it is easy to use, it heats up very quick, it has a stand so I can put it on the dressing table without leaving a mark and once done it’s easy to hang it. The cable twists around so it it seems almost impossible to tangle the cable and the cable is 3 meter long, what allows me to move around a bit while getting pretty.

Ordered this curling tongs for my Girlfriend as she moans non stop about her lifeless hair.Arrived in nice Nicky Campbell box which would be ideal for a gift.Opening box I was surprise how light weight and easy to handle the tongs were.Curling tongs look nice a stylish with black gloss handle and golden barrel.Excellent length power lead which means my room does not get turn upside down when she is trying to sit near a plug socket to do her hair, plenty of lead to actually reach mirror 👍My girlfriend likes using these tongs as in pass she has always just put her tongs on full power (not knowing how hot) and literally set her hair on flames. The LCD visual display and easy temp controls shows you clear settings from 140 degrees up to 200 degrees, she uses 150 degrees as she have very thin hair. End results is nice loose curls and waves in her hair which last for about 4hrs.Overall, these tongs give you greater control in setting temperature which ensure no unnecessary damage is caused to your hair. Did take a couple attempts of achieving the exact curls she was looking for, practice makes perfect.I would recommend this product.

I haven’t saw Nicky Clark product for years but used to swear by this brand years and years ago so thought I would give this curling tong a go to see if the brand is still as good as it used to be.It’s a very good pair of curling tong but is slightly overpriced I would say (£39.99), comes with a very detailed manual, very lightweight, has a decent size power cord (3m), has 6 increments and heats up very quickly.Overall it does what it says on the box but would definitely say the retail price may need to be looked into.
