Nestle Chocolate Semi-Sweet Morsels - 72 oz. bag - PACK OF 4

The package arrived and seemed fine. I put it away in my pantry. I was going to start holiday baking today so pulled out the unopened bag. I opened it and started pouring it into a larger, food safe, container for easier use. Imagine my surprise when a large, solid block of chocolate dropped into the container. I weighed the block @ 3+ oz. Very disappointed that I did not receive 100% useable product. The price was great for this add-on product, but I did not expect it to be substandard. I checked the weather the day of delivery--the high was 53 F, the low 28 F.

This product has a non return policy which would usually be fine if this product was sent in a freezer bag, it is not. I received a huge bar of chocolate. DO NOT BUY

Update:These are coming from Texas where it is still very warm in late September and early October.They said they are not allowed to ship things like this until October 31st. That really should be November 1st for Texas. In any case they did offer to refund half of what I paid, which I thought was fair being that half is about what is still usable, the unpowered half. I accepted their offer. Raising one star for service.Original Post:Oh my gosh! I've never seen chocolate chips powdered like this. Many have just disintegrated!The first bag, I thought okay, well, temperature changes, when I dumped it into the container. All still whole just not nice looking. 🤦‍♀️ Checked expiration Feb. 2022. But the second bag! Powdered! It's really rather gross. It's October, it's certainly not hot out, I thought I was safe ordering chocolate chips this time of year. 🤦‍♀️ A little blooming is fine. Disintegrated powdered chocolate chips is not.I'm very disappointed. I didn't realize this wasn't coming from Amazon. If I'd known (after talking to Amazon just now) I wouldn't have ordered from them.Yeah, don't order them.

Nice to have on hand... though the size (think small airline pillow) is a bit cumbersome for a pantry. Good for a bit of chocolate just to eat or any combination of recipes.... my favorite fudge recipe (you can't mess this up):1 stick butter8oz cream cheese2 cups chocolate chips (any flavor)1 box plus/minus 1 cup powdered sugar.1 Tbs vanilla (or other flavoring- mint, maple, almonds, etc)Nuts if desiredMelt the butter, cream cheese, and 'chips' together until smooth. Add vanilla. Add powdered sugar and mix until well incorporated, and mixture comes away from the pot cleanly. Add nuts or other additives. Pour into a 9 x 13 pan. Chill until firm and cut. Store in airtight container for up to a couple of weeks, or in the freezer. The combinations are endless with white chips, PB chips, etc. White chocolate chips, sweetened coconut, pecans, and almond flavoring is a big favorite :)

The package took a while to get here (with covid19, prime membership doesn't mean much anymore...). So I had to go to a nearby store and get one of these in person. When this arrived, I noticed that this package is huge! Much bigger than what you will normally get in CVS/Walgreens. I'm keeping it in my pantry until I would need to use it later. The taste is okay- a generic chocolate chips. I don't know about the price though, because I've been seeing a handful of price-gouging on amazon these days...

I got these in good condition. Glad to see they put ice packs in between the packages. That really helps and putting it in a Styrofoam cooler and then in a box was a great idea. Got here without melting. Forgot about the summer temps. Glad they didn't. Would order from this company again. Didn't take long like I thought. Every one of the packages were FRESH TASTING and not crushed. Glad to see they weren't out dated!!! Flavor is really good!! can't wait to get to bake some cookies now!! These are worth the money and worth ordering again from this company!!!

Exactly what they said it was. A giant bag of Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Morsels. The bag comes with a pinch-seal type closure so you can keep it fresh without having to put it in another container. There were no clumps of melted-together morsels, nor were there any "white" morsels. These all looked like high-quality Nestle choco-chips just like you find in the store.

Arrived as a solid block of chocolate. Not chocolate chips. And it says “item isn’t eligible for return.”
