Ilex Evergreen Shrub, Nellie R Stevens Holly, 3 Inch Pot, Lot of 6

I purchased these plants last year (winter 2011), and they came packed really nicely. They were all full of berries, which I loved. Because of the crazy snow we had last year in NJ, I had to keep them in pots for a few weeks. I kept them inside in a room, and planted them outside when snow finally disappeared. They adopted very well outside, and several weeks after, they started growing new foliage. The Birds loved the berries.The only problem was when wild baby rabbits started nibbling on them. I had no idea rabbits eat hollies, but apparently they do. Two of them were almost destroyed, as they were further from the house, and rabbits loved to hide there. I was worried they would die, but, this year (2012) they are ALL in great shape.I had wooden sticks next to each plant to keep them straight until they adjust to the soil. As I was clearing the bed from weeds, I could compare the growth. They have grown several inches over those sticks (not feet as I hoped, but I blame rabbits). Even the one plant that was munched to the stick is promising. They all have lots of new buds, and one of them has berries. I fertilized them with Holly Tone, and am looking forward to ses what will become of them this summer.My only disappointment with this purchase was that I could only purchase 12 plants, and I really needed 20.

Very Pleased with these little trees. They are small (as advertised) and extremely healthy. We were slow to get them planted due to home improvement delays but even with 6 weeks in the pots, they were growing and looked as healthy as they did the first day. Packaged well. I came back to order more but I am assuming they are out of stock right now due to being outside of planting season. I will check back in the spring to order another set for sure.

Well packaged, arrived in relatively good condition considering they traveled 1k miles and the box was damaged. Some of the leaves had desease spots on them, so I sprayed them with copper fungicide immediately. Deducted one start if only because I haven't had then long enough to know how they do after I put them in ground.

All arrived packaged well, nice size for price. Planted next day and all growing good. New growth in couple weeks already

Both plants came fresh, with the signs of new growth and very well packed, so i did not have to worry to plant them right away, but waited comfortably for a good day.Once planted, both trees adapted fast and well. They still dont show much of the growth, but it appears to be normal behavior rather than sign of weakness. Happy with this purhase, i am sure to have nice good looking holy trees soon enough.

I ordered several Nellie Stevens Hollies. Plants arrived well packaged, and healthy. I am very happy with my purchase, and would definitely purchase from Sandy’s Nursey Online again.

Order May 12th, arrived May 17th, and planted May 19th. Now on June 15th, all plants are looking great and already have new growth. Plants came exactly as described and were healthy.
