Rick Steve's books are always great.
You can't go wrong with Rick Steves' books. One thing I would emphasize, which unfortunately he didn't*, is to get your Alhambra tickets far in advance. When we tried to purchase two days prior to going we were unsuccessful in doing so. Some say you can arrive early, stand in line and likely get a ticket--NOT! No one in line got a ticket. We did find that you can stroll the grounds and view a lot of it for free though. But seeing the Nasrid Palaces is something we were disappointed to miss.(An updated edition came out soon after we bought ours. Perhaps the new addition corrects the omission of the Alhambra info.)

Good advice especially for first timers
Andalucia is one of my favorite places, and this guide was quite useful, even though I had been there before. It even got me a discount on my hotel in Sevilla, more than making up for the cost of the book. I found the recommended walking tours to be particularly helpful, and saved both time and money from the suggestions about visiting Gibraltar.

A great reference guide to this area
A great reference guide to this area. Some great tips as well to avoid the queues and find great places to eat. Our only criticism was that just maybe there could have been a little more on Seville, but for the average traveller here who only spends two or three days it covers the bases.

Book's Focus in on Sevilla and Granada
A very confusing book. I was with a group in Sevilla and we did the white villages outside of Sevilla. We only spent one night (at the end) in Sevilla.The white villages were beautiful and we stayed in small, family owned hotels. It was a wonderful experience.

Read this book at least 2 weeks before your trip!
Read it cover to cover! We bought this first on Kindle, then bought a paperback and highlighted it to carry with us in my small purse. Between this book and Tripadvisor, we had a great trip. Pay attention to detail and reviews!

Count on anything from Rick Steves. I found this helpful on my trip to Andalucia.

It was a good sized book to stick in a pocket when we were out & about.Lots of great info
