Great book for serious young adults
This book is well written and easy to understand. My guess it that it is best suited to an educated person who is just starting to seriously look at their financial plan...maybe someone in early 30s. It was too basic for me because I am in the stage where I am planning my way to retirement in a couple of years. But I plan to give it to my 27 year old son.

Very useful information
I wish I had this book years ago. It presents information about investing in very accessible as well as detailed way. The part about estate planning was also most useful.

Clear, sound, unambiguous advice
It's a short book, but it manages to cover a lot of ground, offering advice about personal finance based on research and personal experience. Sit doesn't get bogged down in complexity, statistics, or nuance; he has a knack for getting to the point and covering what's essential.Though the book focuses on basics, it’s also a good review for someone already experienced at handling personal finances. Sit addresses topics that others often ignore, e.g., banking and spending, including how to manage cash and credit cards. The brief section on life insurance is the best quick introduction to the topic I've seen.Other highlights include a chapter that sorts out the complexities of health insurance and chapters on workplace and individual retirement accounts. Sit also give excellent advice for low-cost, buy-and-hold investing and for hiring (or not hiring) a financial adviser.

Very Valuable Finance book to understand how to manage your money
I have always been intimidated by money management books since I felt like I did not know enough basics and often get lost in complex terms and finance jargons. This book was easy to read.
