Unit failed after 3 months.
I installed this unit along with the additional perimeter sensor. The main unit module appeared to be of high quality. Packaging is fantastic. When you open the box it just screams high quality. However, appearances can be deceiving. The perimeter sensor is by far anything like the main module. Its appearance actually reflects its performance. It quit working after only a couple days. I should have returned it immediately upon opening the package. It just didn't look like it was worth the additional fifty bucks. No weather sealing at all. No silicone wire connectors. Cheap chalky plastic housing with heavy burring on the edges. Scorpio really went cheap on this add on.Getting back to the main unit.As I said earlier, "Appearances can be deceiving."I believed this unit was built to withstand a nuclear war. Very sturdy hard impact resistant plastic, completely sealed electronics with absolutely no way for moisture to find its way in. Wire connectors are of top notch quality with silicone ribbed seals. Fantastic build. I must say, Scorpio got this totally correct. I give credit where it is deserved. However, after only a few months the alarm started to randomly arm and disarm. The RFID remote also failed. Eventually, the system would sound the alarm each time I turned the ignition key on.I was threatened with a citation last night while trying to get the alarm to shut off. It activated while I was driving. I pulled over to try to cycle the ignition, press the remote, and wave the RFID dongle within inches of the unit. No luck, it just kept on wailing. It would stop for a few seconds and start right back up. This went on for over 15 minutes.A police officer pulled up... I assume he thought I was stealing the bike. Ran my license, and checked the plates and vin off the bike. After everything came back clear, I was told to get the thing to stop, or the officer would write me a citation for the noise. I actually had to use a pair of pliers to rip the wires from the unit and it still kept making noise for another five minutes. I had the unit in my hand totally detached from the bike and it still was screaming. The officer and myself burst into laughter.I'll do my homework on the next system I have installed. I'm sure there is a manufacturer that makes a system designed to last years, not months.

Easy installation and good quality alarm
Installation is very easy with the factory connector kit, no cutting of wire is needed. I used to have a Gorilla alarm, but they are not connected to the signal lights, hence I go for scorpio alarm now. As compared to the Gorilla alarm, the shock sensor isn't as sensitive but I guess it would have lesser false activation due to the rain and passing by vehicles with loud exhaust.Overall experience is very good. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good alarm for motorcycle as it can be installed at almost anywhere in the motorcycle, due to it's compact size.

It is a loud alarm, though I wish I could set it up properly.
The alarm was easy enough to install, even on a bike where I had to remove everything just to get to the battery box. Set up was a breeze. Setting the alarm is still something I haven't done. I read the manual. I go out and fiddle with the keys and try to set the sensitivity, but I always fail. I don't turn the alarm on when it is windy. I also dont turn it on when its too wet or cold as it seems to go off more often than not in these situations.

Get it now if you want your bike safe
I ride a 09 CBR600rr and installed this thing on my own which I thought was going to be hard, BUT. It was totally easy. From the time I took out the first screw to the time I put last one back in and started the bike it took me about an hour. Hardest part I found was trying to find a location for the perimeter sensor. I did however mess up on choosing my constant power sourse. But once I called tech support it was easly fixed.I live in an apartment complex with a reputation that is not the best. I can hear my alarm very well when someone walks by too close or bumps it other riders have had their bike taken but mine still remains thanks to this great functioning alarm.

The best investment
I am not certain why there may be negative reviews on this product. Follow the directions, and most importantly, as recommended, plan your installation. I installed the SR-i800 on my Star Bolt and due to spending the time to plan the installation and performing the installation at a slow pace, everything went well. I can Arm and disarm the system from 50'. I wouldn't be surprise if it went further. The perimeter sensor is very sensitive. Wind set mine of a few time and I had to turn it down a bit. Follow the directions and you will be pleased with it. Oh! the last connection you should drake is the battery connection...

Satisfied
Works well, has a tilt sensor and chirps as a reminder when you start it to let you know it's still armed. Does not activate when you are near it with the key.Only works with the Built in tilt sensor. Had to purchase proximity sensor for added security.

Nice for the Price
It was a tight fit on the bike but once I got everything in place it works well. The auto arm/disarm feature is nice. Only issue was when shipped the RFDI remote had a dead battery in it so I kept tripping the alarm because I thought something was wrong with the wiring. Had a spare watch battery, changed it, and everything was good.

Too Sensitive
This alarm did not work well for me. It was too sensitive and suffers from lots of false alarms. Now I have to ship it back to the manufacturer and see if they can fix it. Also the remote came with a dead battery. I opened the remote and went to close it back and the cheap plastic broke around the edges. I am not happy. Don't buy it.
