I got this book for my daughter and she loves it. ❤️ She likes to readnon her own and I oicked this book because it has alot of pages, which she also liked as well.

My Level 2 reader loves these books (we have 4-5). The chapters are the perfect length to hold his interest and the drawings capture his attention. We also love the extras along the way and the quiz at the end. Great series!

I was afraid this wouldn’t hold my 6.5 year old’s interest for long but I was wrong. We read a chapter every night (they’re pretty short) and he usually asks me to read more. It’s a bit advanced for his reading level so I read it to him. We’ve had some great discussions around segregation and civil rights. I’m so happy I was able to find a book that introduces him to these big topics at such an early age. He is also interested in learning more about the presidents now since JFK is mentioned in the book. We are on the last chapter now and he wants to buy more in the series (we just bought Barack Obama and are excited to read that one next)!!

This was a very informal book. However I read it to my 7 and 9 year old as a routine bedtime thing, reading stories that is.My 9 year old is very advanced. Always has been. My seven year old is more "on the guidelines"Either way this book was too advanced for their true understanding!! which was a huge disappointment for us! I personally feel its more for lime 5th grade plus!!However this book.comes with a load of information and also a great read, I jist wouldn't do it to too little of kiddos

A lovely written book, great content, kind price.

The book is narrated in a different format easier for kids to read a biography. The illustrations are amazing and informative.Summary of incidents at the end of each chapter is so thoughtful.

I bought this as a birthday present for my 11 yr old and she read it in 2 days. She thoroughly enjoyed it. Well written for her age group. Would definitely recommend it. In the process of offering Barack Obama and others.
