Ring Alarm 8-piece kit (2nd Gen) with Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) and Echo Show 5

I love the easy set up and control everything with your phone and alexa. What I didn't like is that when it was advertised it says generation 2. I thought that it was ring doorbell 2 but it was ring doorbell version 2 where the battery cannot be removed to be charged. So I have to remove the complete camera down to charge it. Which is frustrating so I had to purchase an adapter which made me have to pay more money on the system.

As much as I hate to admit it I one to get frustrated setting up new systems. The Ring alarm system was extremely easy to set up. I’ve mounted the base and keypad.Tip: use masking tape to cover the holes, poke a hole in the tape where the screws need to be, place tape on the wall and put in screws. Remove tape and hang!Sensors were easy to place, just make sure you clean the area with rubbing alcohol first to ensure a clean surface for the sticky backing to stay placed.Motion detector sometimes has an issue with my dogs but that’s because I have two medium sized dogs. It is easy to set up and you can even mount in a corner.I highly recommend the doorbell, outdoor spotlight cam, and the indoor/outdoor cam too.It has been extremely beneficial to me. I’m a new first time home owner living in the middle of no where. It’s nice when I’m at work to be able to check in on my house, the dogs, and see everything is okay.

I have had this product installed and used for well over a month now, and I love the capability of being able to self monitor and professional monitoring. Although the tech was expensive at first, buying it in the bundle was the best way to get to get all of the items I desired for a decent price. And, best of all, only $10 a month for protection on all of your devices AND pro monitoring?If you have Alexa devices in the home (like the dots and shows), they definitely help amplify the system, especially with my doorbell! I appreciate that Alexa is able to tell me someone is at the door if I'm around a dot in my home! The echo show has the capability of showing you whose at the door and being able to answer that way, but I usually have my phone on me almost all the time so I haven't got to really figure it out a lot.The system does have it downsides though, but it goes to show how quickly the technical support team goes at the problem to quickly resolve it for the customer base. But nothing you shouldn't expect trying to use a DIY system that is primarily wifi like connections.Overall this system was worth it, so far to say the least. As a new first time homeowner trying to figure it out in the world, this system gives me some needed assurance that can show me whats going on when I or my partner are not home. Sure it has its downsides, but the upsides weighed over more in the review. I hope, down the line, I am able to keep true to this review, as I am really enjoying using the system and cannot wait to purchase more products to help keep my home and property safe!

The alarm is great but I’m frustrated because I bought the set since it included house alarm and ring doorbell. The shipment was split into two and the ring doorbell was damaged and returned to the facility with comments that I will be reimbursed. I haven’t yet received a refund or have I got a replacement.

I’m very glad I chose to buy this system. I put it together in a matter of minutes, And it provides a sense of safety and security that I didn’t have before. You do have to pay for professional monitoring but considering other prices $10/mo seems like nothing.The app is very easy to use, and you’re able to arm or disarm your alarm right from there if you locked your home and can’t get to the keypad. We’ve opted to have Ring call my phone before they report any alarms, which I find I actually like.Alexa integration isn’t fantastic, but I never intended to use her for that purpose anyway so it isn’t a disappointment, but you can watch the doorbell or any cameras on it.Keep in mind if you’re buying this alarm you need to get an alarm permit from your city.

The package is almost all you need to get your house protected, door sensors, motion sensor and video door bell. A couple more door sensors and a couple more outdoor cameras will provide full security coverage for our house. I also got almost two months of pro service free as the installation of security system and video door bell each add one month free. The installation is easy. At beginning I was a little slow putting things up, afraid something may get wrong. And it turns out the step by step instruction is more than enough to guide you through the process. It works out well for us, lowering our monthly cost for professional monitoring. The video door bell detects motion at the door accurately. I am happy with the purchase and may add more camera in the future.

I like how easy it was to install. It is very sensitive to motion. If you have pets its best to test the motion sensor when home. My dogs set it off while I was at work. 2 hours of the really loud alarm going off. My phone was not on me so I didn't know it was going off. I have multiple windows and doors. I needed 13 door and window sensors. You can buy more and are easy to connect. Very easy to install to alexa. Recommend to family. If you move often it is easy to take down and reinstall. Will be getting cameras soon.

this ring set gives alot of peace of mind knowing whos where. easy to install. i can tell when people are snooping around now. even put the motion detector in the garage. heard the motion detector trigger and was ready for go in blazing! unfortunatly this is a must own in this day and age. stay safe out there!
