Overall the product delivers what it says and works with the app I bought it for. However, the instructions were not easy to read or to follow. The device also gets hot when being used which is a little concerning.

You have to down load an app to use. And instructions are in Chinese. A little leery if my data is being compromised with an app I can even read. There is English instructions but they are TINY.But all of that aside it worked well.

Was using product with my new projector. Did not work with Netflix. Had to re buy an Apple adapter. This product does not work for all uses that you might desire.

Have to power on adapter with charger.Sometimes have to reboot adapter to get it to work.

I bought this with high hopes for being able to plug and play into a projector that I have set up in the yard for the kids. It's a straightforward design and there are no secrets to setting it up. I plugged all the components in, and saw the QR code that everyone complains about pop up on the screen. I selected "trust this computer" on my phone and was looking at my phone's screen on the projector immediately. I would then select a movie and hit play, and it would start and then freeze for some reason before continuing on the phone screen only. The only fix to this was to disconnect the HDMI from the adapter and reconnect and wait for the data interruption again. It's frustrating, and ultimately, pretty unreliable.Maybe someone else will have better luck.

After buying knock off Apple products to save money, I find it necessary to buy the real thing. Apple is very strict in selling compatibility accessories. It might be more money but it will not be disappointing
